Average stay, nice winter escape
We stayed 2 nights in a standard room. The room was a decent size and had a peekaboo ocean view. The temperature in the room was hard to moderate (either cold or super hot), and the bed only had a heavy down comforter and a sheet, no blankets. But mostly comfortable overall.
We ate dinner at the Enoteca lounge, and enjoyed good food and good service. We had the buffet breakfast both mornings which had many options and was a good deal for what we paid (we had an inclusive package).
It's important to note that the parking area is not super convenient. The weekends are very busy and the parking lots are a short walk from the hotel. This would matter for older couples or people traveling with small children, or if carrying many bags (so, most guests). On Saturday night we had to park in the most distant lot which, after getting to our room at the distant end of the fourth floor, was probably a good 1/3 mile walk. Not a big deal for us, but it could be challenging for some guests.
The hot tub and pool area are a bit run down, with visible rust on the metal railings and dingy tiles. The hot tub was pretty dirty even though we went early in the day. I'd say that the pool area is great for kids, but not ideal for an adult couple. The steam room was lovely.
If you can afford it, spring for the newer rooms with the jacuzzi tubs and ocean views. Otherwise, it just feels like an average hotel so the "resort" feeling is kind of lost. Also, if you go in the wintertime know that very few places are open in the area so it's good for a relaxing escape and certain outdoor activities like xcountry skiing, but not much else.
