My second time going there with some friends. Really just a beautiful setting. The private beach is amazing as well as all of the kayaks and paddle boards. A great place to unwind and relax. Definitely plan on bringing my kids for a stay here as it is a great place for families.

Even better in person. We had a wonderful time enjoying the lake - and all of the toys that came with it. The outdoor shower hit the spot after a long day of water fun. Everything was immaculate- and the AC was exactly what we needed to sleep soundly in this 90 degree plus weather.

It was the perfect setting! It was so nice to be in a spot where we didn't need to go somewhere else to have fun. The canoes, kayaks, paddle boards, beach, and dock were perfect. It occupied the small children just as easily as it did the parents. The large windows made it so easy to catch the gorgeous sunrise and sunset. The outdoor shower (that has a hot tap!) was perfect for the getting the kids cleaned off for the day. We'll definitely be back!

We had a relaxing long weekend at the lake house. Well appointed house with great lake access. Enjoyed the kayaks, paddle boards, and fire pit on the beach. The property was also very close to several nice hiking trails. Quiet nights and starry sky. Serenity.

An unbelievable vacation rental, it almost feels like a movie set. Bill has clearly put so much love and care into creating a perfect, peaceful paradise, and he tops it all off with access to so many great amenities. We used the canoe, went fishing, and were swimming in the clear warm water every chance we got. The sand is clean and soft, and the shallow water is perfect for small kids. The house itself is very well appointed. The kitchen is filled with high quality cookware. The beds were super comfortable. Everything was perfect. 10/10.

My family (3 adults, 2 young children) spent five wonderful spring days here. In the mornings, we enjoyed looking at the beautiful water from the living room or the beach, digging or reading. In the afternoons, we explored the area, visiting family friendly activities like Mystic Seaport, the Pequot Museum, and Roger Williams Botanical Garden. In the evenings, we cooked in the fully stocked kitchen. The beds were comfortable, the setting was remote and quiet, and it was a great getaway.

Our family has visited this property multiple summers now and it is become a very special place in our memories with our children while they are growing up. The home is clean and simple and perfect. The property and pond views are stunning. The Huggins have always been excellent communicators, so quick to respond if we have any questions. You will love it as much as we do! Just a few pro tips: Hack & Livery General Store, Festival Farm (get the cornbread mix!!). And take the 25 minute drive into sweet Watch Hill ... go before sunset for gorgeous pictures by the lighthouse, beach, or dunes ... & grab a cone before heading home! Have the best time!!

This was such a serene and relaxing place to stay. We loved exploring the trails and spending time on the water, and my son especially enjoyed bringing bread to the dock each morning to feed the fish. It was exactly what we needed—a peaceful getaway to recharge before heading back to school.

The location is wonderful. The beach is perfect for little kids. There are kayaks, a paddle board, and life jackets for hours of fun. It’s close enough to Mystic to be able to go to the aquarium and museums. Bill and Alison were very helpful and attentive hosts.

Best vacation spot ever!

This is the second time we stayed at this location and it was just as amazing this time as it was the first. My son loved it so much that he rented it with his family last year as well. We hope to make this a family tradition, as it’s close to home, yet definitely feels like paradise.

Everything Listed and More!

This was one of the better stays we’ve had! The area was beautiful, the house and property were as pictured and better than listed, and we thoroughly enjoyed reconnecting. The house and area had the best of both worlds—everything you’d want for an analog stay/relax, but internet and amenities for the modern world. We loved our time there and will gladly go back!

Lake House

Perfect location, beautiful view. We went with our 1 & 2 year olds, so a private beach was perfect. Had everything we needed, some things in the house itself could use updating/replacement, but did not take away from the vacation - the lake is the main attraction.

A Hidden Gem!

This charming house is set on the most gorgeous lake; every window offers water views. It's so lovely and serene that you never want to leave (even for one of the fantastic local hikes.) Check in/out was easy and the owners are friendly and accessible. The home is very comfortable, cozy and well-supplied. My favorite-ever vacation rental!
