Atlantic View Motel and Cottages
8/10 Good
"The cabin was very clean throughout. A few spider webs on the porch but a stick looked after those. The seats, table and stool on the porch were wonderful to sit and look at the water. The site did say there was a bbq and while we did see two barbecues outside of two of the cabins there was not one with ours. We didn't ask about it as we ended up not needing it, but I thought perhaps they were shared. The shower was quite small, though for just 2 nights it was good enough. We would have liked a bigger sink to wash dishes in, as there is a very small one, only in the bathroom. A wash tub is provided but rinsing dishes after washing in the tub is near impossible. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay but would likely not stay for more than a couple of days with what was available. We did see other guests coming and going to a building next to the check in desk, so maybe there were amenities that we were unaware of. There were 2 bigger cabins so possibly if we wanted to stay again we would inquire about those. I also got knocked off the wifi a few times but logging back on always worked. Overall 4/5 stars from us."

"The property was clean, well maintained, and so charming! We enjoyed using the kayaks in the river and the beautiful sunsets! We picked up some vegetables and cooked at the cottage. It was so relaxing to sit on the beautiful deck and eat dinner. Watch for seals in the river! I was amazed to see them pop their heads out of the water on my first kayak ride. I would definitely book this cottage again but would stay longer next time."

"Wonderful stay! Clean, well-equipped, with comfortable beds and nice bathrooms, great communication from hosts and centrally located making it easy to explore nearby towns and beaches. We were a family reunion of 10 people, with kids aged 2 through 10, 6 adults and 4 kids, and everyone had enough space. Screened porch is lovely as is the upper deck for star-gazing, and wow, were there stars! Making s'mores at the firepit was also a big hit. Exploring the almost private beach at low-tide was delightful. Highly recommend!"
