"Good"

"The room was awesome! The room upgrade was unexpected but totally awesome! The staff was courteous, friendly, and helpful. However, the hotel location, while good enough, is not that convenient. Solaire is close to everything, yes, but only if you have a car. Nothing is within walkable distance as the weather in the Philippines is so hot. Other hotels that we've stayed in have connecting air-conditioned paths to outside restaurants & shopping malls but Solaire doesn't. There are quite a few restaurants inside the hotel premises though so dining options are still there... but that's it -- you're going to be limited to what they have/offer. If you're a vegan (and my husband is), forget it. You're going to compromise your vegan diet if you decide to eat inside Solaire. Their restaurants (including their Fast Food section) have some vegetarian options but not vegan. Overall though, it was still a very pleasant stay for us. The pros still outweigh the cons. 🙂"

"Its like my third time staying in this hotel every-time i go back philippines and never u get disappointed. Only one let me down is the lady in the reception for breakfast address my pronoun incorrectly which i think next time she should be aware of. I can let her go with it but what if some people wont. "

"Was impressed by this hotel which was rated 3 star, but had many of features associate with 4 stars I normally stay in. For example, laptop safe, coffee/tea making, robe and slippers, good gym opens early, nice pool. Room itself was reasonable size with nice clean bathroom. I ate at pool bar on roof several times, nice food, reasonably priced. Also had buffet breakfast and availed myself of omlette station who brought eggs to my table, nice touch. All staff were very welcoming, and helpful e.g. booking taxis, directions, providing map. Wifi generally good, one short outage during my 5 night stay, but they even sent me note apologising and advising time fixed. Manilla itself is very congested and you could see polution haze from my 9th floor room. Advise using Grab taxis , when used others the drivers used all the standard cons, e.g. 'oh look seems my meter has broken,' trying to triple agreed price. Reception happy to book and change larger bills. Room was surprising free of street noise, slept well. Only real negative was there were only 2 lifts servicing about 25 floors so sometimes bit of a wait. Location was great, within short walk had banks, restaurants, covenience stores, barbers, all I needed. You are close to the small (by Thai standards) 'gogo bar area, but not noisy, and pretty understated early evening. Used hotel laundry who did good job at reasonable cost. In summary a very pleasant stay in nice well equiped room. Would definitely be my 1st choice on next trip."
