"Carlos picked us up from the ferry in Hvar and drove us to the apartment. He carried our luggage to our 2nd floor apartment which was big, clean, cool with two balconies. We were given great recommendations and Carlos was so friendly and genuinely nice. We walked every morning and back each evening from the main promenade. Maybe 15 minutes but well worth it. "My host Daniella was very nice and helpful with local information. The last day officially I was meant to check out at 10am, but I was allowed to stay free of charge till 7pm, as my flight home was not until 9.30 pm. Danielle even gave me a lift to the airport. Obviously I was lucky nobody was checking in on the day I left and also that she happened to be free to drive me to the airport. Overall a nice quiet place to stay, only a 2 or 3 minute walk to the ocean."

Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Split

10/10 Excellent

"This was a great location to get to old town using their free shuttle service they offer guests and it was steps down to the great beaches. This is a great hotel and recommend it to families with children as we had 3 children under 10 and they loved it all. The free breakfast was exceptional and took advantage of it every morning. We loved the pool and took advantage of a massage at their spa. Martina was an amazing Masseuse! I would go again and stay here! Only downside to it is there is another hotel being constructed right in front of it that will eventually take away from the view and there was construction during the day all day. We were not in the hotel during the day so it didn't affect us much. Just waking up to it and hearing it when we got back wasn't the best to experience."

"Rooms are decent size - small fridge in room - would have expected a couple of bottles of water to be initially provided. Staff helpful and polite. Breakfast was very average - the hot selection was poor - although you could request a cooked omelette which was ok. Only one coffee machine that’s wasn’t working first day. Roof top pool is quite small - but was very quiet when we stayed - so wasn’t an issue… last day it was shut for maintenance (wasn’t informed when booked) Location good - direct access to small beach - although 25euros per subbed is a total rip-off - so didn’t use. A couple of supermarkets local to the hotel, along with a few restaurants. The Road outside hotel very busy!"

"We loved Podstine Hotel. Great location near town but far enough that it is quiet and very private. The staff was very helpful, specially the waiters over breakfast and lunch, always answering our questions and giving us advise. The beach is pristine and very private. If we ever go back to Hvar, we would definitely stay here again."

"We stayed in Superior Room 21, and it was charming, comfortable, and well-appointed. The staff were friendly and accommodating, even preparing a bagged breakfast for our early morning flight. The hotel is also just a short walk to the promenade, making it a great location. We would gladly stay here again."

"Overall, the hotel was a good experience. However, we paid for a sea view room, and got to our room and the sea viewwas completely obstructed by trees. They should not ever consider that room as a sea view. We flagged this and they moved us, but only had a room with 2 beds that needed to be pushed together, which wasn't ideal and we still had trees in our way but it wasn't a complete obstruction. But we paid for a full sea view, not a partial one, which was disappointing. The property is a little tired and needs to be power washed. The rooms were fine. The showers don't have doors, so water gets everywhere and soaks all the way over to the sink. A bath mat doesn't stand a chance, so don't put one down, it'll get completely soaked. The pool isn't kept very warm. We learned that the European way is to say it's "refreshing" instead of "cold". Felt the same as the sea, to be honest. The location is super walkable into town, which was great! The bedding was nice and soft and the beds were comfortable! And the hotel sends a van down when each ferry lands and offers to take your luggage for you, which was super convenient!"
