First impression was bad but it actually is a nice facility. Understanding how Rome properties are accessed helped to make it more home feeling. The location is great for access to sites, stores, and food.

La ubicación del hotel estaba muy bien ya que se encontraba cerca al centro de la ciudad. Lo que no nos gusto fue que el agua caliente fallaba, la calefacción igualmente y indicaban en la página que el hotel contaba con consigna. 1 hora (10:00 am ) antes el encargado nos indica que no podíamos estar más tiempo en el hotel ya que teníamos el vuelo hasta las 9 de la noche pero si podíamos dejar las maletas allí, la mala suerte y incomodidad fue cuando salimos y nos indica la misma persona que no podemos dejarlas.

Das Personal war super nett und sehr herzlich. Die Lage des Hotels ist auch sehr gut. Zur Vatikanstadt waren wir gerade mal zehn Minuten (Fußweg) entfernt.

Points positifs : situation parfait pour visiter rome et le vatican. Chambre rénovée, propre et belle (grande chambre) Points négatifs : absence total de réception, nous avons vu le personnel au moment de notre arrivée et au moment de notre départ. Service de bagagerie plus que moyen, la personne souhaitez finir sa journée a 16h, donc ne voulez pas nous garder les bagages apres 16h. Il serait bon de revoir les horaires de reception qui devait être de 7h a 20h. Ménage pas réaliser tous les jours et pas de changement de serviette ni de literie. Bon hotel pour un week end, mais le manque de service ne serait pas appréciable pour un long séjour. Je qualifierai cet hotel plutôt comme un airbnb car tres peu de service.

The cleaning staff & location were great however, the advertised WIFI was none existent - they provide a FREE mobile phone which is also a city guide. The FREE mobile does not unfortunately replace the fact that the WIFI doesn’t work, and from what I assume (I don’t like to assume, but) hasn’t worked since 2017.. The room was very noisy, as there’s no noise seals which means you can hear all other guests and the staff right outside - not ideal at 7am every day (I’m an early riser, but like to not set an alarm on holiday). The drainage, regardless of the staffs best efforts, means the room smells very unpleasant. The biggest “gripe” was the insistence of needing cash - we understand it is an extra to pay, but when they refuse and insist on you going to the cash point it raises questions (they did eventually accept a card payment, but after a lot of back and forth - cleaning staff “didn’t know” how to use the card machine as a last resort attempt of getting cash, although we don’t put the blame on them). When we did raise anything, they passed blame onto others; meaning not everything was raised in the end.

We were presented with a much smaller room than anticipated which made the pictures seem deceiving. The quality of the rooms interior was also poor. On inspection, the walls were covered in black marks, including but not limited to scratch marks and shoe prints. The bathroom fixings were not entirely secure, the sink and the mirror weren’t fully in place. The skirting board was also not finished properly, the workmanship looked rushed. Moving on to the amenities and services, the hotel offers free wifi, which was not present in the rooms. When I asked reception for an explanation, I was simply told the WiFi only worked in the corridor. I asked for the alternative WiFi showing on my phone, which the receptionist put into my phone. However, when I said I needed the password for my girlfriend, I was told it was a secret and only I was allowed to use it, something I found rather strange. Secondly, the hotel states that it offers an iron on request - this turned out to be solely an iron, no ironing board to accompany. When questioning the whereabouts of an ironing board, I was told “use the bed”. Perhaps most prevalent to our stay was the large issue of noise. Outside our window, directly below was a large air conditioning unit which continued to be in use throughout the night. Coupled with incredibly thin walls in the property, which allowed 90% of conversations in the corridor to be heard made sleep difficult at best.
