If you book, be sure not to get room 102, it’s right beside the elevator and front desk, and it is very loud. They have double steel doors separating your entrance from the elevator, presumably for noise but it doesn’t work, and just makes the room feel less. Otherwise, the hotel is very nice and the location is great.

Great hotel with brilliant staff

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff couldn’t do enough for you and the overall décor and style was lovely. The hotel is in a good location (we walked everywhere) and the breakfast was good and plentiful.

Location to action in Trastevere was perfect. Only about 30-40 min walk to most key areas of Rome. Walking is best way to see things. Hotel was very clean, tidy and finished to high standard. Staff were very helpful, always greeting us. Breakfast was a good selection and something for everyone. Great location and value for money. Can't really find a fault. Really happy with our stay for 5 nights.

Great experience

The hotel is great! We had a great experience there. It’s clean, new and modern. The TV chrome cast was a great surprise. They have parking in the building which is great and the area is full or bars and restaurants.

This hotel is on the expensive end, but it is worth it. The best stay we had in Italy. Great room, location, and AWESOME breakfast. A lot of options. Parking wad 40 euro.

Special hotel!

This is a wonderful and truly unique property. The location in Trastavere was perfect and we absolutely loved exploring the neighborhood. The Loly Boutique Hotel is extremely well designed and beautifully furnished with an extremely professional staff. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who's looking for a local gem.

It was great! Hotel was new. Ameneties were sufficient and in good condition. Rooms are clean as well and the service was superb. They also provided breakfast without additional charge and the food and coffee was good. A few areas to consider, the room I stayed was on 2nd floor so you can hear the cars outside. Room Wi-Fi is connected to the TV, so you need to turn the TV on. I will highly recommend this hotel overall.

Avoid! Dont risk your holiday to beautiful Rome by staying here. Incredibly rude staff with no concept of customer service. There only objective is to extract money, by deceptive means Only once we had checked in and paid, did they decide to tell us that the water and electricity would be switched off in the morning, and that we had to be out of the hotel by 8am. When we asked to cancel the room they declined and charged us for the night. The room was small and dirty, and the tea and coffee was a single sachet of Nescafé - and if you wanted milk then it was a 10 euro charge! Expedia tried to resolve our disagreement, but the hotel refused to engage and charged us despite us not being able to stay that night since they couldn’t offer basic services. Please be warned - you stay here at your risk, and they will not be interested in resolving any issue

Very very average. By no means was this hotel/experience a bad one. However it’s advertised as a high end boutique hotel and it certainly wasn’t that. The location is a touch off the beaten path, but with a 10 minute walk you’re back in the action so not a huge issue. The floors and levels are a little tricky requiring you to take multiple elevators depending on what floor you’re on. We thought we reserved a room with a balcony, but it’s more like a semi-private patio. It’s not completely closed off and instead opens up to the common patio… very nice but you won’t want to have your coffee in a robe outside for example. The staff is lovely but definitely where you notice it’s not a luxury hotel experience. No one was ever rude, but they also never went out of their way to help. When we arrived our room wasn’t ready and ended up being ready 40 minutes after check-in. Not a huge deal but wish they would have acknowledged the inconvenience of not being able to get in until 4pm. The day before checkout we requested a taxi for the morning. I wrote down all the details (time, airport etc) on a piece of paper and gave it to the desk in the morning. Later that evening I stopped by the desk again to confirm the taxi would be ready and they didn’t have any record of us needing a taxi so I had to write it all out again. I’m glad I did because we had an early flight out. On the day we arrived, we wanted to enjoy a bottle of wine, but didn’t have a wine opener. We called down to the front

Mixed bag

The neighborhood is a mixed bag - lots of graffiti and people shaking us down for cash or running a scheme from the moment we walked off the plane. Be very careful in Rome. Don't let ANYONE stop you at the airport. Even the front desk of the hotel - though friendly - was looking to make a buck. You can't trust any pricing given for taxi or shuttles. I wish I would have stayed somewhere else. When I told the front desk about some of the intimidating problems we had at the airport and with our taxi driver who pretended to have issues with the credit card machine and insisted he drive my husband to an ATM for cash, she laughed and said "this is common". I then got hustled by the front desk for them to set up a cab for us that increased 3 times with each front desk encounter I had. (They started with 50 Euros to the train station, then it was 55, then 80!) Booked my own cab for 27 Euros! This is Rome. The hotel is clean and fine but we were so uncomfortable with the surroundings and staff that we couldn't wait to leave.
