I loved the location of this hotel. It was in easy walking distance of the east side of Rome. I felt very safe using a key to the stairway and another to get to the lovely courtyard. Staff was pleasant and easy to deal with.
Great stay! Beautiful bathroom, clean room, friendly staff and airconditioning. We could also safely leave our luggage at the hotel reception to explore Rome after check-out. What more could you want?
We enjoyed our stay at the Residenza Mecenate. The location near the train station and shopping/dining amenities was very convenient. Check in at the Mecenate Hotel a few steps away was easy and the staff were very helpful. The rooms were clean and quiet. Highly recommended!

I selected this property for its close location to the train station and the great price. I was not disappointed!
I would stay here again if those two items were high on my list.

We had a great stay here, had everything we needed. Very good air conditioning, wifi, the room was a good size, had a nice jacuzzi tub, and was very clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. The rooftop terrace restaurant was beautiful, and the buffet breakfast had lots of good food. I appreciated that they had gluten free bread. Located a 10 min walk from Termini station making it very easy to get to and from airport, trains, and buses. walking distance to lots of restaurants and sites, and close to the coliseum.
A lovelly stay. The only criticism would be the mattress cover which was plastic, meaning every time you moved it was really noisy. We ended up stripping the bed overy night, taking it off and putting it back on in the morning, giving us a perfect nights sleep. Super quite and dark room, we loved it!
Our stay at the Residenza Mecenate for four days was a perfect one! Very easy access to the train station and the metro! Walking to all areas within Rome was an easy one for us. Lots of great restaurants, gelato, coffee bars around. The beautiful Santa Maria Maggiore was a two minute walk fro our hotel. The metro will get you easily to the Vatican City, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and Patheon. The Collesium is a 15 minute walk from this location.
Staff were friend, rooms clean and they ensured our stay was comfortable. We would definitely recommend!

Fantastic place in a fantastic location
I was really impressed by Residenza Mecenate. All the staff were friendly and polite, and the room that we stayed in was well equipped and comfy.
The amenities of the room were great, plenty of storage space, excellent bathroom, the bed was very comfy and I especially liked the shutters on the building which totally blacked-out the room - a very useful feature in sunny Italy if you want to get any sleep.
This place was situated in a great location, being close to some tourist attractions and within walking distance to Termini, which allowed us to extend ourselves further into Rome during our stay.
Thank you for the pleasant accommodation.

Some great things, one very bad thing
The location is the best thing about this place, about 10 minutes to Termini, plenty of eatery options around and supermarket, and we could walk to the touristic area. The team is helpful and efficient. The cleaning was just ok, there was some spider webs around and the floor was dusty. There was a nice cupboard kitchen which we used frequently the microwave and sink, the photos of the room I booked were very different (the actual room was smaller and had a different layout) The worst thing was the internet, extremely slow (about 1mb/s) and very week signal inside our room. It was almost impossible to work. This place is connected to a 4-star hotel next door.
Super, spacious apartment, excellent location. The apartment belongs to the nearby Mecenate Hotel. We were able to walk from Roma Termini in just 5 minutes. It is close to Santa Maria Maggiore and lots of restaurants, supermarkets etc nearby. We were able to check in early at the hotel reception and had a welcoming host at the apartment. We were able to leave our bags at the hotel after we checked out and able to pick them up later in the day before our flight. The only thing that let down this stay is that we booked this apartment due to it having a jacuzzi bath. My husband has arthritis and knew he would find all the walking around tiring and sore. Unfortunately the jacuzzi did not work. We reached out via the Hotels.com app but are still waiting for a reply long after we are home. Similarly, we emailed the hotel but still no reply. We finally went to the hotel reception to report it then we we were just told later it would not be fixed while we were staying there. No apology. Perhaps not a huge deal for most people but this is one of the main reasons this apartment was booked. Lack of communication from anyone is extremely disappointing.

It’s a beautiful property and the room and bed were great. Conveniently located near the Rome main train station termini. The Wi-Fi was a little slow though.

This property was conveniently located beside the train station, but far enough from the hustle and bustle of it. The city is walkable from here for anyone who doesn't mind all the walking.
The hotel room is clean and big, and check in/ out were done at the main hotel, a few doors away. Overall it was a good stay and will consider it in the future.

Not what was advertised.
No Wi-Fi in the room, had to get an upgraded room and paid Euro 30 per day extra for the upgraded room.
Its a tourist trap hotel, where they attract people with a low room price for under par rooms, then upgrade by charging extra.

Staff don’t care to help you after you check in unless you’re staying at the main hotel. They make u feel ur staying at a lower tier place. I booked this place because I thought it was a 4 star place. It turned out to be a room in a house down the block. The TV is a 27 inch tv despite them advertising they have a regular TV. The free minibar was also a lie, but they leave you two water bottles so it counts as a free minibar. The bellman won’t help you because it’s not the main hotel, and other staff members literally ask where you’re staying before they help.
