Clean hotel, great location, friendly staff

We were in Europe for 2 weeks. Rome for 2 days, and this was my husband's favorite hotel. We did have a bit of an issue checking in as it wasn't clear if the hotel was going to be paid by the vender (hotels.com) because I used a Discover Card to pay online, so beware on that! They had a terrace with a coffee maker available all day and that was nice. Also the location was fantastic. It's within walking distance from two metro stops (Piazza di spagna and Barberini).

We found the location and staff to be really very good. We cover a lot of the city on 4 days, all by foot and were happy with our choice of the Sonder hotel. We recommend this place and will return again soon.

Excellent stay!

The location is perfect, the staff is so friendly and they helped us with everything we asked. However the hardware of the hotel is a bit wore out. Overall it’s a great hotel and we will be back!

Excellent hotel, in new condition. Great room, large (for Europe), clean and very complete bathroom. Staff was always attentive and professional. The location is excellent, walkable, few blocks from Plaza Spagna, Parteon and Fontana de trevi. Many restaurants in the area. All along 5 Stars

Very small hotel along wi Ty very small hotel rooms……elevators are not working and they haven’t for 2+ months due to city electricity…….as they say, but they indicate someone can help you with your luggage to your room in the 4th floor…….there is NO ONE to assist you I would NOT recommend this place for the price…..certainly NOT with it

Extremely rude staff

Checking in, the elevator was full of laundry bags. The toilet did not work and when I asked when it would be fixed the front desk guy was as rude as anyone I have ever met. Will NEVER stay there again. 320.00 a night for a 50.00 room accompanied with a front desk jerk. The front desk person the second day was good.

Won't stay here again.

Disappointing. The hotel is in an excellent location, but there were a few problems. The a/c wasn't working, the housekeeping service was poor even when we asked for the room to be cleaned, and there was a problem with the elevator on one of our days. We were on the 5th floor and it was warm, so we had to leave the window open, and it's pretty loud in Rome even at night. In a positive note, both the breakfast and service are good. There is no lobby in this hotel, so you have to meet somewhere else.

This stay was amazing! They have ac as well which was a life saver in the August heat. The services were great as well and our room was cleaned thoroughly. The rooftop is beautiful and they provide cold water in the room (bottles) and refills on the terrace. There’s also an elevator which was amazing!~ loved it

I have stayed in Sonder hotels in many cities. Never disappointed. The only thing I didn’t like about this one is that the room were a little smaller than usual. However, they were very good and comfortable. Very happy ;)

Long-tailed silverfish

The room was not very clean, dirt in the corners of the bathroom and make up-stains on the walls. The worst was however that we discovered that the room had long-tailed silverfish, which is considered a problem in Norway and elsewhere in Scandinavia. To avoid getting them into our house, we had to send our luggage to remediation when we arrived at the airport in Norway. This caused us a lot of headaches at the holiday, not to mention the cost for the remediation when we arrived home. The hotel would not reimburse us any of the cost of our stay or the remediation, sadly. We will not be staying at a Sonder hotel again. The breakfast and staff was lovely, however, this experience put a major damper on the whole stay.

The staff is friendly and the location is good. Bathrooms are moldy, the drains smelly, and the A/C is centrally controlled which led to our room heating up to 28C during the night in November with no way of stopping it.
