We have just returned from a wonderful 5 night family stay at the Sourire. It is well located with many of Rome's famous sights and attractions very accessible, and the Metro being just down the hill was very convenient for us to travel to the Ryder Cup. The rooms are spotless, and well appointed. Breakfast was of good quality and plentiful, and we appreciated the option to eat outside in the pleasant small garden. For us though it was the personal service offered by all the staff that sets this hotel apart as a gem, that we look forward to returning to. Grazie!

I can’t say enough about this wonderful property or its amazing staff! Cozy, clean and charming rooms and breakfast space. The staff really made our stay! Each of them went above and beyond to help us enjoy every moment of our visit. I broke my hand on a tour and got back to the hotel too late to eat anywhere near there and the night staff not only showed concern but put a yummy tray together for us and brought it up to our room within minutes! They answered all our many questions and provided us with great suggestions for restaurants and transportation. We hope to return to Rome in the future and wouldn’t dream of staying anywhere else.

Short Walk to Circus Maximus

I chose this place during our first night in Rome on NY’s eve knowing that it’s a short walk to Circus Maximus where party and fireworks are happening. The staff is friendly and helpful, willingly suggested places to dine etc. It’s the best spot for sure if you’re looking to party like locals on New Year’s eve. We even saw all the fireworks from our 3rd floor room - nice view. The room we got is quite small but it’s to be expected in EU in general. They do provide amenity kits which is quite nice. Breakfast selection is great - offering bread, pastries, cold cuts etc. Parking is available across the street from the hotel and I even saw a spot for an electric car.

There are so many reasons that our family of five loved our stay at Sourire. The first reason is the staff. It really feels like you’re staying at a family owned business. Everyone is so kind and makes you feel like you’re a part of their family. There is someone on staff working 24 hours a day at the front desk. Not only are they so kind anytime we asked for anything, but they always did it with a smile and went above and beyond. They really took pride in their hotel, and in their jobs. Whether it was the manager or the cleaning staff, they all really cared to do their best for us. The rooms are very nice and clean. Don’t expect American size hotels though. European rooms are always smaller. They had everything we needed, including Wi-Fi, hairdryer, nice comfortable beds, closets and our room had a small balcony even. Finally, I have to write about their continental breakfast. I wasn’t expecting the variety of foods that they had every day. I was presently surprised each morning with the selection of their continental breakfast. They had every fresh fruit and my kids loved their pastries. It was always fun to wake up and see what new additions were added to the breakfast buffet. Again don’t expect American style with pancakes and waffles but more like an European style upscale continental breakfast. My favorite was the choice of fresh squeezed orange juice that they deliver to you upon request. If we come back to Italy, staying at Sourire will be our top choice.

Arrived from 8 hours road trips and informed that “free parking” is only 3 hours off site on the streets. Hotels.com contacted them to find resolutions but unsuccessful. Would never recommend this hotel if you want to park your car all day in Rome. Only 10 min walk to colosson which is good

We really enjoyed our stay at Sourire. The location is great: 10-15 minutes from the Collosseum and Baths of Caracalla. The rooms were very clean (#1 priority for my wife). Breakfast was abundant, with lots of delicious desserts, and they had a couple of gluten free options (prepackaged muffins and Melba toast). No matter what time we had breakfast, there was always lots of everything. The breakfast manager Marina was amazing, very accommodating and nice, we really appreciated her hospitality, she did her job above and beyond. The reception staff, all of them, were also extremely cordial and welcoming, we felt well taken care of! We would highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Rome.
