"Exceptionally clean. Helpful staff. Great location. Despite being in a busy area I didn’t hear any noise. The rooms are tiny. Great for 1 but I would have struggled if I’d booked for a couple. I had a fab time and would definitely recommend for solo travellers"

"Friendly staff, clean and comfortable room, and although the bathroom seemed a little worn it was very clean. Breakfast was ok. The rooms we had were an upgrade from the ones we booked, I think. The hotel was situated in a lovely area, with walking available along the river and the canal, and a couple of villages close by, containing decent pubs and restaurants. I would stay there again."

The room however was very warm and we could not get the air conditioning to work - even with the window open it was unbearable. The bathroom sink was a bit limescaley for my liking in what is classed as a high quality hotel. Overall the stay was lovely"

"Under bed was extremely dirty. Was directed to the coffee lounge as bar not open and waited for ages for someone to come & take our order. Service at breakfast on the Sunday was poor & we waited over half an hour for our breakfast. Found receptionist on our check in to be rather rude"
