"We had arrived early as the website had indicated there was music from 1 to 3 - which was not correct - but the desk clerk was gracious and allowed us to check in early. Our room was very clean. The lobby outside the dining room and entry at the stairs were both rather grubby which was most likely due to it having rained but even the next morning hey remained muddy and grubby. The brook and the grounds were charming. Aside from the gentleman who gave us the tour of the distillery we found the remainder of staff we engaged with to be very cool and not at all welcoming."

"We had a wonderful stay at this cabin! The view of the pond with the waves beyond was absolutely amazing, and we loved the beautiful walk to the beach, especially with the spectacular fall colours. The cottage was fully stocked with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. We especially appreciated the thoughtful extras, like salt and pepper and a blender for making smoothies! The location was perfect for exploring the area, playing Cabot golf, driving the Cabot Trail, and spending time with family nearby. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and would highly recommend it!"

"This property had plenty of space for just the two of us. The kitchen was well equipped and enabled us to cater for ourselves for the 3 nights we stayed. The heating worked well as the temperature outside was chilly but we were plenty warm enough inside. Comfy, warm bed. The shower was nice but the sealant round the base was mouldy and needs cleaning or replacing."

Access via ferry is easy, fast, and free. Efficient ferry system takes less than 10 minutes and runs 24-7, so don't let that deter you. Convenient to both Cabot Trail and Louisbourg Fortress. Would stay again."
