"Pat and Una Weir were attentive and gracious hosts. We arrived around 18:00(6:00 pm) after exploring the ancient New Grange/ Boyne Valley area. Even though Una was very busy welcoming diners she showed us the apartment straight away and explained how everything works. We had not made reservations for the evening meal and they were having to turn away customers Pat brought in another table and chairs. I had the best bowl of seafood chowder I've ever eaten followed by a perfectly cooked steak. Beth had their signature chicken stuffed with "

"We found the Kilmore Hotel in Cavan town to be absolutely excellent in each and every category and actually couldnt find a a bad word to say about it! The bedroom/bathroom was spotless and fresh with ample toiletries for our overnight stay in a triple room and the next morning we enjoyed ample choices for our cooked fresh to our table breakfast plus the menu had a vegetarian & vegan choice on it which was good to see and delicious on arrival on all counts. We will definitely consider a return visit for our next stay in County Cavan. "

"Overall I had a fantastic stay again, room comfort was good, bed very comfortable with nice linen. The room was a little on the warm side - which I have to say I prefer to a cold room but I know some people do not like it. You can of course open the window if you are too warm. The bathroom was a little dated in places but clean. The Bar food also has to get a mention - daily menu had a very good selection and a welcome change from the usual hotel offerings of just fried food. The strawberry creme brulee is a must have. Overall a very good stay."
