"We stayed in a standard room in the main building and it was so lovely! The breakfast was awesome and the walk down to the village was convenient. This hotel has a lovely restaurant attached with great food. Zaros Lake is just around the corner. My favorite part was the spring water running down the side of the road. A very lovely village to visit on your trip around Crete."

"The host was amazing. Very accommodating, great recommendations and very friendly. She met us off location and we followed her to the house. She shared her chicken eggs and in season fruits with us. The house was very clean and had many spaces for our group of 7 to relax together. The kitchen was very well supplied. The view was amazing. There are are outdoor spaces for grilling or games. HIGHLY recommend!!! "

"Evva was really friendly and helpful, and our accommodation was spacious and comfortable. We didn't like the fact that the shower was handheld only. Also, the villa is located at the stop of a very steep hill, so although the town enter is not far away, it's not the easiest walk."

"Stunning villa, beautiful views, perfect hosts! Absolutely loved this holiday and would go back again. You definitely need a car and it’s about a 10 minute drive to shops and restaurants in the centre. I would describe this villa and pool as a little bit of paradise, especially with the peacocks roaming around . Kids loved feeding the cats and the kitten. It was just a lovely holiday! "The villa is beautiful. It is very well equipped with everything we needed - we really couldn't fault it! It's very spacious, with seating areas outside at the front, back and on the balcony, so there's always a sunny spot (or shady spot if you prefer!). The beds are very comfortable, and all the bedrooms have air conditioning so it's very pleasant even in the height of summer. The pool is a great size and provided so much fun for us all. Stelios, the host, is so friendly and helpful!The village of Sgourokefali is lovely and quiet, and the locals are very friendly. It has a very small minimart with basic groceries, and a bakery selling fresh bread and delicious fresh pastries, so you don't really need to leave the village! Episkopi is a 30 mins walk away where there are more shops including 2 larger supermarkets, a taverna and a lovely (and very reasonably priced) restaurant which we ate at quite a few times.We decided not to hire a car, but on the days we did leave the village, we used a taxi, which cost between 40-60 EUR each way to places like Knossos, Heraklion and Water City. It was easy to get a taxi at Heraklion airport when we arrived, even though there were 5 of us. The same taxi driver gave us his number and we messaged him on Whatsapp when we needed a taxi during our stay, and I'm sure others would do the same.We would definitely stay here again, and would recommend it to anyone!"

"The property we stayed in was new and has been built to a very high standard. All the rooms have a shower and seperate toilet. A sink is located in each room next to the door. The living areas are bright and clean with floor to ceiling windows/doors, open plan kitchen diner with lots of space with modern appliances. All rooms had smart TVs with apps so we could login into Netflix etc. The pool was fantastic as were the sun loungers with two bean bag chairs. Around the front of the property is a large courtyard featuring a large table & chairs with a gas BBQ for alfresco dining. Next to this there was a seating area for relaxing. Cleaners visited everyday to empty the bins, including the toilet bins. Clean towels were provided for the pool as well as for the bathrooms. Sheets and towels were changed once a week. A truly fantastic property that we thoroughly enjoyed. Highly recommend these properties. "

"Great villa in a village with good amenities. The pool is nice with a fabulous view, and there are numerous spaces to relax and eat around the villa at different times of the day. Check in/out was very easy and the host was very prompt with help to sort out any issues."

"Great property in a small village with a few local tavernas, shops, and a great bakery. The house is split over three floors and has two 'sides' severed by seperate staircases - the stairs from the open plan living room/diner/kitchen leads up to three beds on the first floor (two doubles and a twin) with a family bathroom with hidden washing machine, and then the playroom/bedroom on the top floor with a pool table, table football and a couple of futons. A separate living room with a TV and diner has stairs that lead to two further doubles each with en-suites. The top floor rooms on each side are open plan from the stairs so don't have doors. Given we were there as two families with 5 older kids (14-20), this split worked well - with the adults having the en-suite rooms and the kids sharing the other side of the house.Facilities in the house were fantastic - the kitchen was well equipped with everything you would need. One of the great touches was the owner leaving all of there sundries that you need but never seems to be left - so loads of dishwasher tablets, soap, shampoo, toilet rolls, plasters etc.; a really simple thing that takes loads of stress away. The outside was fantastic with a great pool, small play area for little kids, outdoor dining table, fridge, BBQ & pizza oven and the most contested spot - the shady hammock.If your considering booking, just do it - you won't regret it."
