"The location is really great, with only 5 min walk to the railway station and a 20 min ride to central Stockholm. The area is nice and calm, apart from some traffic noise. The house and garden are a bit worn, but the friendly and helpful host responded fast and efficient when we pointed out some minor flaws. Check-in as well as check-out was very convenient."

Negativ: zuerst fallen die ungepflegten Außenanlagen auf, die untere Etage ist sehr muffig und man kann nachts die 2 Zimmer unten schlecht lüften, da die Türen gleich Fenster ist. "Such a nice place to stay that was SO far from Stockholm traffic/stress and literally minutes away from Arlanda. Enjoyed the scenery and the wildlife out here. Wish we had had extra days to enjoy sauna more!"

"Two factors made our stay at this house so memorable: 1) The house sits on the beautiful island of Stegesund (no cars, only a small dirt road) that overlooks gorgeous water just outside of the town of Vaxholm. The July sun bathes the house in warm light all day long. You get the benefit of feeling away from the city while only being a 5 minute ferry/boat ride away from Vaxholm.
