Discover HEVA, a charming studio nestled on Rue de l’Écureuil, right in the heart of Rouen. Ideally situated for exploring the city on foot, it offers easy access to the shopping streets, restaurants, cultural venues and must-see attractions of the historic centre.

As soon as you arrive, a private staircase leads you to a cosy and well-designed living space. Here you’ll find a pleasant lounge with a sofa, coffee table and workspace, perfect for unwinding after a day of sightseeing or for settling in comfortably during a business trip. The fitted and equipped kitchen allows you to prepare your own meals, featuring a hob, microwave, extractor hood, Tassimo coffee machine, small fridge and crockery for two people.

The bathroom with toilet is on the same level. Upstairs, accessed via a wooden staircase, the mezzanine features a double bed and a wardrobe for storing your belongings. This charming sleeping area gives the studio a very cosy, snug atmosphere. Please note, however, that the mezzanine has a low ceiling, so you’ll need to watch your head.

Bed linen and towels are provided for your comfort. The property does not have private parking, but you can park in the surrounding streets at the current rates, or use the Palais de Justice car park located directly opposite. In terms of practicalities, Rouen station is just a 7-minute walk away, and parking is made easy thanks to the Espace du Palais car park, located a 1-minute walk from the property. HEVA is the ideal place to discover Rouen, whether for a weekend, a business trip or a few days of peace and quiet.

The accommodation is managed by Conciergerie L’ArchiDuchesse, available 7 days a week from 10.00 am to 12.30 pm and from 2.00 pm to 9.00 pm. To finalise your booking and obtain the access codes for the property, you will be asked to provide a credit card authorisation via a secure link. If you wish to extend your stay, a one-off fee of €10 applies for early arrival or late departure, subject to availability and prior approval from our team.

## Neighbourhood

The Palais de Justice district in Rouen is one of the city’s most iconic and historic areas, right in the heart of the city centre. It is surrounded by numerous monuments and buildings steeped in history, creating a picturesque atmosphere that attracts visitors.

Rouen’s Palais de Justice, a jewel of the Flamboyant Gothic style, is an impressive architectural masterpiece. Its façade, adorned with sculptures and refined details, tells the story of the city. As you stroll through this neighbourhood, you’ll also discover cobbled streets, half-timbered houses and other historic buildings, which lend a medieval and authentic atmosphere.

The neighbourhood is ideally situated just a short walk from some of Rouen’s major attractions, such as Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Historial Jeanne d’Arc, and Saint-Maclou Church.

Rouen’s Palais de Justice neighbourhood combines history, medieval charm and modern amenities, making it a prime place to stay for visitors.

## Transport

As well as being central, the neighbourhood is well served by public transport, whether by bus or the Rouen metro. It is also easily accessible from the station.

The “Palais de Justice” metro station is just a short walk from the Palais de Justice itself. This station is served by the Rouen metro line, which runs through the city from north to south.
The metro connects the neighbourhood to several key locations, such as Rouen-Rive-Droite station (around a 5-minute journey), thereby facilitating rail connections to Paris and other towns in the region. It also serves residential neighbourhoods and shopping areas, which is convenient for visitors.

Numerous bus routes pass through or near the Palais de Justice district. The “Palais de Justice” stop is served by several routes, notably the F1, F2, and F7 (high-frequency routes), which cover a large part of the Rouen metropolitan area. These routes allow you to travel easily to more distant districts or to specific tourist attractions.
The TEOR line (T1, T2, T3) also runs through the city centre from WEST to EAST and stops nearby. These TEOR lines have the advantage of running very frequently and using dedicated lanes, avoiding traffic jams.

In short, whether by metro, bus, bike or on foot, the Palais de Justice district in Rouen is perfectly connected to facilitate visitors’ travel around the city.

## Notes

Please note that the building does not have a lift and that the flat is located on the first floor of the building. Once on the first floor, you will access the flat via a private staircase, so it is effectively on the second floor. The bedroom is also accessed via a staircase within the flat (on the mezzanine level). Guests with reduced mobility or those carrying large suitcases may find access difficult.

Check-in is self-service for greater flexibility. Check-in is from 4.00 pm and check-out must be by 11.00 am at the latest.

The accommodation is managed by the ArchiDuchesse concierge service, available 7 days a week (from 10.00 am to 9.00 pm). In the house, all our guests are provided with bed linen, essential toiletries for the first day (shampoo, shower gel, hand wash, toilet paper, etc.), as well as one large towel per person, along with tea towels and a bath mat per bathroom. A welcome kit containing kitchen bin bags, bathroom bin bags, a sponge and washing-up liquid is provided free of charge on arrival for the duration of your stay.

Any mid-stay cleaning, changing of linen/towels, restocking of essentials, or deliveries can be arranged on request at an additional cost. Enjoying a holiday rental also means following a few rules to ensure everything goes smoothly and to avoid any surprises with the deposit! Please treat the property as if it were your own: avoid causing damage, take care of the furniture and leave the place clean when you leave. Follow the guidelines regarding timings and the use of facilities, and respect the peace and quiet of the neighbourhood. And if any minor issues arise, please don’t hesitate to let us know. Please note that parties are strictly prohibited (€250 will be deducted from the deposit), the property is entirely non-smoking (€50 will be deducted from the deposit), pets are not allowed (€50 will be deducted from the deposit) unless prior request and approval have been obtained from us, and any loss, theft or damage will be charged at the actual replacement value.
