"The staff were lovely but the condition of the 1st floor was horrible. It smelled of urine & cigarettes. The room looked clean but the smell was horrible & the door had no safety locks. I slept in my clothes & changed to shower & add fresh clothes before leaving. My 13 year old grandson asked if it was a hostel. I paid for 2 nights but we did not return & got a room in another place. "

"To be honest we just wanted to stay overnight. Clean and basic, been staying in a Chateau beforehand!! Very quiet, no atmosphere. "A lovely stay in a traditional Normandy Manor House. We have stayed many times and will return. The rooms off the courtyard suit us best due to steep stairs in the main house. Lovely well maintained grounds (not extensive though). Plumbing can be a little erratic! Wonderful food at dinner and breakfast. Some dishes cooked on open fire. All home made. Family run, friendly & unassuming. "
