"we based our stay from the five star reviews for this hotel. The location was fantastic with the on-site restaurant that was equally fantastic. The WhatsApp concierge was extremely responsive for all the questions we had. The location is about a five minute walk to Villa d'Este. Walkable area. Even with extreme temperatures in August, we felt comfortable going back to a cool room for an afternoon siesta and to sit out the hottest part of the day. The restaurant was very pleasant with an added 15% discount for our meals. I would not recommend the breakfast option as it is not onsite. The bar restaurant recommended had terrible service with even Italians wondering why there was 1 server for all the tables. Overall, we would stay there again if we returned to Tivoli."

"Wir hatten sehr angenehme und erholsame Wochen bei Liliana. Sie ist eine sehr hilfsbereite Gastgeberin,die sehr gute Tips für die persönlichen Ziele und Unternehmungen hat.Die Unterkunft ist wie auf den Bildern beschrieben und mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht. Die lieben Hunde und der wunderbare Pool haben sehr zur Entspannung beigetragen."

"absolutely charming. as many other have mentioned, Marco is awesome. you can tell he takes great pride in his property and it's history. i believe Tivoli is considered by many a 'day trip from Rome'. however, upon leaving, i agreed with Marco's though that you really need 2-3 days to get a proper experience there because i easily could've stayed longer AND wanted to... the dinner time experience in town was one of my favorite things in my 11 day Italian travels.... warm and magical. those people do it right (life). absolutely recommended."

"If I could give Filippo 6 stars here I would. We travel all the time in Italy, since I work a quarter of the year there. He was amazing. Way beyond typical niceties. Set us up in the most amazing restaurant in town, gave sound advice on where to go for the best wine selection, etc. we’ll be going back. Place is great too. Filippo is the best."

"It is hard to describe the amount of satisfaction that we enjoyed our entire stay with The Life Hotel in Marcelina. The characteristic that stands out the most is simplicity. We are not rich people so we usually choose to stay outside of large cities to avoid obscene prices for everything. This resort is around 40 minutes away from Rome. We chose to rent a car because I believe in my driving abilities. I truly enjoy the thrill of a good drive. If you can remember the movie The Italian Job with the little mini coopers racing through small alleys in villages, that is what my drive everyday was like. So for that I was thrilled. The little town of Marcelina is truly intoxicating. The room was simple yet accommodating. The French doors that opened to a terrace overlooking Rome was a big part of my mornings. Not to mention the view at night was breathtaking. As if that wasn't good enough they have an excellent restaurant where some of the best food we had was being made. We had his and hers massages and manicures by their spa technicians who were amazing. Then we had dinner with a great view through four to ceiling glass windows. The view overlooked Rome and Marcelina. The staff was very accommodating yet gave us privacy. The language barrier was easy to overcome and we would recommend this stay for anyone looking for maximum relaxation. The only thing I would wish for is a hot tub and better pool. Alessandro was the best host. Thank you for everything. Nick and Tonia Grassi."

"Great location and very cute place. The owner controls air conditioning so you have to text her to have it turned on and off. But I understand she wants to control overhead. We would book again. And don’t forget to eat at Sibilla"
