"We have returned to the Uprising after 6 years.
The staff are still genuinely lovely and the place still looks beautiful
But at a closer look, I’d say it needs some TLC.
In our villa, half the light bulbs didn’t work. The outdoor shower crusted with build up. The sliding door handle falling off.
We had a wonderful Lovo traditional evening with live show.
All in all still a good, affordable option in Pacific Harbor"
"Entire hotel was clean and well maintained. Wish rooms had outlets right next to the night stand or on the night stand for easy phone charging. Overall, very good resort."
Riverfront estate, walking distance to everything, free WIFI, family friendly!
10/10 Excellent
"We had a great stay the last week and a bit. House is large, lots of space and the pool was enjoyed by all. Could do with a few more glasses and crockery as a large family we use a lot but it's got everything else you need"
Private Cool Tropical Rain forest Hide away 5 min walk to the beach and resort
10/10 Excellent
"Fantastic! Large comfortable kitchen and living area. Large bedroom with a new firm mattress perfect for my bad back. I felt like I was home 5 minutes after I got there. Wonderful front deck the whole length of the house. Spent many hours out there sitting enjoying the jungle and Ocean View. The nights were quiet and peaceful. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you need for cooking plus plenty of coffee tea fixings along with spices for cooking. I ended up canceling a couple scuba trips for a shop that was about 35 minute taxi ride away because there is a very nice scuba shop 5 minute walk down the road. Did a two tank shark dive and 2 days of regular Dives. Plenty of large bull sharks and nurse sharks ! Nitrox is available. The host was very friendly and helped with getting local taxi service at a good rate. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a great Fiji place to stay away from the city. Love the country life! ** big bonus was I struggled to get all my devices charged at my previous five stops, not here, host supplied me with multiple phone laptop and drone battery chargers"
Pool, backyard retreat, free WIFI, walking distance to the beach & restaurant
10/10 Excellent
"We loved our stay. It was seamless from the start. We had one small issue and the contact person was there asap to assist. Clean and comfortable. Well appointed. Loved the privacy. A couple of small juice glasses would be handy, otherwise it was just perfect."
"Onsite hosts Sam and Moreen were so wonderful! We got all the inside tips about Pacific Harbor from them including beach access, where to buy fresh fish and activities in the area. Moreen made me cassava so that I could learn to cook with it and Sam brought is fresh coconuts when we were by the beautiful (and huge) landscaped pool. The kindness of the people here is what we loved about Fiji the most! The house was so comfortable and finished beautifully with hardwood flooring and interior ceilings. The beds were very comfortable and even the pillows were new and fluffy which is a rare and appreciated find on any trip. And my husband was thrilled that the AC units were cranking!Another rare and appreciated aspect was the modern kitchen and abundance of appliances including good knives and a sharpener, an oven and even an air fryer just to name a few. Pacific Harbor also did not disappoint. The new shopping center and movie theater will be a great addition to the area. The shark diving was a once in a lifetime experience that words truly cannot do justice to. We found numerous fantastic restaurants and of course the fresh fish and cassava that our hosts helped with along with the local mangos, avocados and other roadside produce made food exciting, accessible and delicious.Leaving Fiji along with Sam and Moreen and all the other wonderful locals we met broke my heart a little so will be looking forward to coming back to Fiji and back to here to stay!
