"We enoyed the doubly “smart” room — both the clean, modern decor and the motion-activated automatic lights for the main stairs (though they take time to come on) and the bathroom (shut the bathroom door when not in use so you don’t trigger those lights when you walk around in your room). Also appreciated the towel warming rack, and the frosted bathroom windows. The room was very comfortable and quiet, as Grimston is a tiny village in a rural area. The inn’s on Grimston’s main road is convenient to nearby Happy Valley (wedding / event venue) and to sightseeing in Sandringham and beyond. The hosts were gracious and friendly. We will be happy to return when we are next in the area. PS. I would try to arrive at Grimston during daylight hours, if you are not used to driving in rural England with old, narrow roads. "

"We booked this property as the picture on website looked nice. It said we would share bathroom only with people in our party, this was booked as non-refundable. We only book properties with en-suite usually but as said it would only be shared with our party. Once booking came through I checked the postcode and found that the property was down a private road which you could not view on google maps. On arrival after a day of travelling the Norfolk coast, we found ourselves outside a Bungalow which was not appealing to the eye. We parked at rear of property and looked in the back of the property. It was full of rubbish/work gear as he was in middle of refurbishment and was not somewhere we would like to stay. Whilst waiting for proprietor he called, knowing we had booked the room (had seen us on CCTV) and asked why we were looking around the property which is on private road and a private residence. I explained that he had given us permission as he had taken our money. When the owner arrived, we found that we would be sharing the bungalow with himself with no lock on door, only a double bed in room and would be sharing bathroom with him. This was not what we had been told on website. So, we decided not to stay. So, all in all it was a really bad experience. The proprietor would not refund the money to Hotel.com. Hotels.com have credited my account with 58% of the cost as compensation as owner would not refund. account on Hotels.com but not fuul amount paid."

"Quiet rural location, just what we were looking for, enclosed courtyard perfect for dog, property is a credit to Lesley both in decoration and cleanliness. Her husband Trevor runs the pub out front, what a host, couldn’t have been made more welcome. We hope to return again! "
