It was a miserable weather day but our last day in Alesund and we pushed ourselves to drive in this weather to Hellesylt to take the Geirangerfjord cruise. This is a picture from the drive back via Sjøholt. I don’t know what the building is but looked very charming

"A large and spacious house, good for small and big families. A stunning view across the fjord and absolutely quiet, we never noticed the quarry nearby. The owner lives in the village and is helpful and reacheable whenever he is needed. Kitchen and other stuff is complete and in top shape. We spent a great week there with nice hikes on the other side of the water."

"This is lovely little place is on Sykkylvsfjord, halfway between Sykkylven and Straumgjerde. It is brand new construction, similar to a vacation condo type unit, split level, and shares a common driveway and a very large outdoor deck on the fjord with three other units of similar vintage. We chose it for its central location in Møre og Romsdal county and day trip access to hiking trails and towns in several fjords in the region. The kitchen is small but does most everything you need. Perfect

"Great stay in a perfect location. Staff were lovely and breakfast was great. There was a fire alarm at night but it was a false alarm and staff did their best to clarify quickly. Room was clean and really comfy"

Great place and helpful staff for fjord cruise

"Wonderful hotel and staff, the two restaurants were very good and we loved the place. The concierge helped us get round trip tix on the daily Hurtigruten/Havila fjord cruise (part of their Norwegian coastal journey has them come into Alesund in the AM and then go down the fjord and back to Alesund that evening). "

"Loved the property! Our king room on a higher floor had an amazing view of the town and water. View was just as good from our window as it was from that steep hike you can do to overlook the town. Ceiling to floor windows. We left curtains open all night it was so pretty. Staff was great. Friendly and nice Only criticism is parking. Had to parallel park on the hilly streets and move the car by like 7am or pay a lot for hotel lot. But parking in Norway at hotels is expensive and rare"
