"What a wonderful hotel! The beds were the most comfortable I have experienced in all of Norway. Loved the large family room- especially the blackout curtains and the free coffee/ hot chocolate was a nice welcome. Walkable to the downtown area and tons of gorgeous restaurants. On street parking was easy and not too expensive. Only picky complaint is that the shower was so small (the bathroom itself is huge). Would definitely stay again! "

"If you’re looking for a place that matches the views and beauty of fjords in your mind and pictures, this is the place. The location and views are absolutely stunning. The house is spacious, private, and in a quiet area. Per Ove supplies nearly every incidental (paper towels, TP, dish soap, laundry and dishwasher detergents, cleaning supplies, shampoo, hand soap, and trash bags) so there’s no need to stop at a store on the way except for groceries. If you have a personal favorite bath soap or body wash, consider bringing that in. He is very quick and thorough in his communication, and ready to give helpful tips on airport and rental car information, grocery stores, and sights. Definitely don’t hesitate to reach out to him if you have questions. We highly recommend this rental."

"Located in a picturesque part of town on the seafront, well away from the cruise ship port. Very convenient for local restaurants and amenities, all within easy walking distance. Rooms are spacious and clean, beds very comfortable. If we have a criticism it is that the curtains and not black outs, so the midnight sun in June is disruptive to a good nights sleep. The restaurant is excellent, something we`ve noted at all the Thon restaurants we`ve stayed in."

"Easiest check in with codes sent to your phone or email. Internet was good, streaming and casting from phone to TV. The fact that there was a washer and dryer was a blessing, you can only do small loads, but I'll take anything when traveling with a small child. Kitchen was well stocked and all in all so comfortable and cozy. The location is so central and one block from the main shopping strip and restaurants nearby. Parking was fine, there's a garage around the corner by the Pub (Smutthullet) or you can park on the street from 4pm to 8am for free."

"What I like: excellent breakfast (probably one of the best in my years of travel), cleanliness, welcoming staff at the reception, central location (very close to the Byrampen Viewpoint and the bridge) Paid parking in the same building as the hotel (pay at the automat machine inside the parking lot, NOK 250 per 24 hours) Things that could be better: NOT black out curtain"
