In addition to the construction noise, the air conditioning was unfortunately not functioning despite the very hot weather. As a result, we had to sleep with the windows and balcony door open. However, this led to another problem, as the noise from the pool machinery made it difficult to sleep. We spent two sleepless nights during our two-night stay. Furthermore, the room rates we paid were exceptionally high. To our disappointment, when we checked out, we noticed that the room prices had been reduced to nearly half of what we had paid. Overall, while we appreciated the kindness of the staff, the noise issues, lack of air conditioning, and high room rates significantly affected our experience."

"The breakfast spread is amazing, and the staff were not only well versed in multiple languages, but were more than happy to help out with arrival timing, tips for navigating Padua, and any other trifles we brought their way, with our group of four and copious amounts of luggage. "⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our overall experience at SHG Hotel was good. The hotel provided a comfortable stay, and the staff were courteous and helpful throughout our visit. The breakfast buffet was simple and basic—not extraordinary, but it offered enough variety to satisfy your morning needs and get your day started. While it may not be a standout feature of the hotel, it was adequate and convenient. The hotel served its purpose well, providing a clean and comfortable place to stay. We appreciated the hospitality and had a pleasant visit overall. Thank you to the SHG Hotel team for their service during our stay."

"Ideally located in the heart of Vicenza and only a 10-15 minute walk from Vicenza train station. 15 mins if carrying a backpack. Well I totally botched up our booking and didn’t realise until just before we were due to arrive. I explained our dilemma on arrival and the concierge was very understanding and helpful. Room was fantastic, great amenities, exceptionally clean and a quiet and efficient air conditioner. Lovely continental breakfast. Definitely recommend Palazzo Otello. Safe area and hotel environment if travelling as a solo female."
