"Beware!! Do not rent this accommodation with VRBO. This is not a legitimate listing on here. We were scammed!!! We turned up and the managers knew nothing about our booking and had never used VRBO to rent it and it already had a long standing tenant there. It was a nightmare for us having to find alternative accommodation late at night after spending the whole day travelling there. It was a further nightmare trying to get the money back."

"We had a wonderful stay in Montignac-Charente. The apartment is a short walk to the town center and we enjoyed stopping in at the patisserie and the cafe. A full grocery store is a short drive away. Our dogs also loved long walks along the country roads beside fields filled with sunflowers. Our host met us when we arrived, kindly showed us how everything worked, and even gifted us some apple preserves that tasted fabulous on our morning croissants. There was more than enough room for the 4 of us (2 humans, 2 dogs) and we would gladly stay here again. Oh, and for digital nomads, the wifi was excellent. "

"Perfect house for a big family get together. Lots of spaces for people to gather or just do their own thing. The highlight was undoubtedly the large swimming pool where everyone spent most of their time. Nice outdoor dining area and BBQ where we ate most of our meals. The patio at the front of the house was perfect for sitting in shade when the sun got too hot, looking out into the green rolling lawn and a beautiful redwood tree. Lots of games for the kids and the adults enjoyed the pool table too. Very well equipped kitchen with separate larder, two fridges, coffee machines and everything a cook would need. Patrice was very helpful and responsive. "

"Had a wonderful week in this beautiful property. It was so much more than we were hoping for. The house is tastefully decorated giving it a real homely feel along with French rustic charm, and was equipped with everything we needed. The Gite gave us even more space and equipment and is again beautifully decorated and maintained. The swimming pool is fantastic and was a real bonus in the hot weather. The shaded gazebo was also a lovely addition to the pool area. We used the large local supermarket and ate at home for 3 nights and found some great restaurants in the nearby villages to experience the local cuisine. The hosts obviously care about their guests experience and their property and we loved the welcome pack on our arrival. A great time was had by all. Thoroughly recommend. "
