Luxury Cabin! Upper Canyon Lookout -Sierra Blanca view close to town

Upper Canyon Lookout’s views of the Lincoln National Forest and Sierra Blanca Mountain are spectacular from inside as well as from the huge 455 sq. ft. deck. The mountain views and quiet surroundings provide a feeling of seclusion, but the Ruidoso shopping district and restaurants are just 2 miles down the mountain. In addition to the views, the deck is a favorite area for relaxing in the cool mountain breeze while watching the wildlife. deer, hummingbirds, and turkeys are frequent visitors with an occasional sighting of fox, elk, and bear. In the summer, our family loves to cook on the deck’s gas grill and enjoy all our meals outside on the deck’s dining and picnic tables.
During winter weather, your family and friends can enjoy the same mountain views from our large open living room, kitchen and dining area with vaulted wood ceiling and beautiful stone gas-log fireplace (instant on/off for your convenience and pleasure). Stay entertained playing board games, cards, dominos, WII, catching up on old times, or watching the 55” Smart LED HDTV . DVD player is provided and surround sound is available for TV, DVD and radio. The Smart LED HDTV in living area & in all 4 bedrooms connect to our internet. Living room & Master bedroom have HULU live TV. Use your personal account to watch Netflix, Prime, HULU etc. on all TVs.
Our single-level cabin has a 2-car carport, WIFI, central heat, air conditioning, richly grained cabinetry, granite counter tops, unique tiling, and wood tone flooring throughout. Each of the 4 bedrooms has its own bathroom, ceiling fan, and an HDTV smart TV. 3 bedrooms have king-size beds and 1 bedroom has a queen-size bed. The fully- equipped kitchen has a large bar, dishwasher, and room for multiple cooks. The laundry room provides a washer, dryer; sink, iron & ironing board, and room to store your golf clubs or ski boots.
While Upper Canyon Lookout provides many ways to make new memories, there are many things to see and enjoy in the area. See the map section for our cabin's proximity to some favorite activities.

July 4th Vacation

Cabin was very clean and comfortable. Great view from back porch. We saw lots of wildlife including elk, deer, foxes, bear, hummingbirds, woodpeckers and raven. I highly recommend this place is was so peaceful.

The Most Beautiful House We Have Stayed At

This has been the best house we have ever booked on VRBO. It has perfect views and is great for couples, families, and multiple families. Perfect cabin!

Beautiful cabin! Only a few minutes from town. Plenty of space for a family! I loved that each bedroom had it’s own bathroom! The view has to be one of the best in Ruidoso! The host paid special attention to every detail! Can’t wait to go back!

Best view in town!

This listing was above and beyond what we were expecting. The house was clean and well stocked. Yet, the covered deck and the AMAZING view of Sierra Blanca was the absolute icing on the cake. Stop looking for where to stay, you just found it!!

Beautiful Home

This cabin was perfect for our family to enjoy our much needed time together. Mornings out on the huge covered porch with an amazing view of the mountain. Deer greeting us each morning. Kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to cook breakfast. Living Area was also very cozy for all to gather and reminisce. Would highly recommend to stay here. I look forward to our next stay at this beautiful home.

Perfect cabin with all the comforts of home

This was our second time to stay at this beautiful cabin and once again, we loved every minute of it. The home is perfectly situated on a quiet street with amazing views of the mountains. Carlene and Terry are wonderful hosts. The cabin was impeccably clean and outfitted with all the comforts of home. We can’t imagine staying anywhere else in Ruidoso and can’t wait to come back for a third time next summer!

2023 Christmas Vacation

The house had a great layout for all to enjoy. 4 good size rooms, each having a bathroom. Large kitchen, Living Area, and Dining Room. View from the deck was by far the best view of the Mountain. Absolutely Great Cabin!

We had an outstanding time in Ruidoso and this cabin was perfect. The view from was amazing. There was plenty of room for our two families. It’s a brand new cabin, so all of the appliances were very nice and in perfect working order. Every room has Smart TVs, which provided the kids with entertainment when they weren’t enjoying the snow outside. We will definitely book it again the next time we visit Ruidoso!

Our stay at the charming mountain cabin in Ruidoso was nothing short of fantastic. Nestled amidst the breathtaking beauty of the surrounding landscape, the cabin provided a serene and rejuvenating retreat for our much-needed getaway. Upper Canyon Lookout

Beautiful location and away from the noise and crowds. Single level home that what you see, is exactly what you get. We have stayed in many homes in Ruidoso and this is, hands down, the best yet. Great layout, open floor plan. Owners are very accommodating and even checked on us. 5 Star all the way around!

Sweet Times

Love this home every time we get to enjoy it! Spent hours on deck watching wildlife, Sierra Blanca, playing games, and enjoying the fresh cool mountain air. Had a wonderful bday with our mom turning 80. Great beds and love how every bedroom has its own bath. Owners go above and beyond for their guests. This is more than a 5 star! It’s 6+++!!!

The perfect cabin & Location

Our family getaway was nothing less than perfection. The cabin and amenities were just as described. Short distance to town for fun shopping and local cuisine. BBQ grill worked well and enjoying our beautiful views of sierra blanca was amazing. Mother Nature at her best with hummingbirds, stellar Jays, deer, turkey family with 9 kids was my favorite including Fox. Enjoyed the many elk and calves. while in town we saw a large bull elk just relaxing on our trip down whirlaway. Wow! Owners for very communicative. Thx for sharing this beautiful cabin! Hope to see you soon.

My brothers, sisters,& our spouses have stayed here several times. It never fails to please. The house is perfect whether you’re sleeping, cooking, BBQ on the deck, or playing cards inside. The city had a water break when we got there & no water. However, the owners were in CONSTANT communication until we had water. Terry texted & called & was in contact with the city water people. We had water in a few hours & we enjoyed the cooling scenery on the deck until then. The owners are AMAZING!!!!!

Simply the best!!!

We absolutely loved our stay and we highly recommend the home to anyone looking to visit Ruidoso. Every aspect of our stay exceeded our expectations. The home is designed for comfort and every room has it's own bathroom and is very thoughtful in it's design. The location of the home in the Upper Cannon allows you to enjoy the MOST incredible view. There isn't another home blocking your view of the mountain from the porch. You feel alone and secluded but are still close to the village. Albertson's is 5 minutes away. Each day we were visited by various birds and animals. We saw many deer, a herd of wild turkeys, a fox family, hummingbirds, and elk, all from the porch. It was such a treat to sit outside and enjoy nature. At night we were able to star gaze and the home is removed from many of the village lights so the stars shone brightly. My only concern is that the home will be discovered by everyone and will be hard to book in the future. We can't imagine finding a better home that this one!

We have been coming to Ruidoso every summer for over 30 years, it is one of our favorite places to visit. I can honestly say this cabin was one of the best places we have ever stayed. The host was very accommodating and helpful with all the flooding situation Ruidoso was having.The view was one of the best views we have had, and the wildlife passing by was amazing! We were lucky enough to see a bear!I highly recommend this cabin!

Beautiful Home

Great weekend!! We were able to see deer, moose, turkeys, and wild horses. This home was ideal for a large family or friends. Nothing was forgotten - owners stocked the house with all the needs anyone could ask for.

Our favorite home in Ruidoso

This is our favorite home in Ruidoso. It was our 4th stay and once again, everything was perfect. The house is clean, inviting and well-stocked. The large, covered deck has beautiful mountain views and is the perfect place for a morning cup and coffee and viewing the Ruidoso wildlife. We look forward to our next visit!
