The hosts were amazing and really give you free rein to enjoy the beautiful grounds—the location is unbelievable, yet it’s only about a 15-minute walk into the center of Bayeux. We spent our time relaxing, wandering the property, petting the horses, and enjoying wine and beer outside. "We stayed at the Churchill Hotel for 5 nights. The location is excellent. If you have tours scheduled to D Day beaches and Mont Saint-Michel, you will pick up your van just around the corner. Very easy walking distance. Also very close to the main attractions in Bayeux. Very close to great restaurants. Very helpful and friendly staff. Very clean room and comfortable bed. They do not have an elevator. We stayed in Room 6 and it was very easy to get to, not upstairs. They provide a very nice breakfast and there is a bar in the hotel. Highly recommend!!"

"An absolutely beautiful hotel! Spacious, comfortable, relaxed, and totally unique. We loved our stay here. The room was beautifully decorated and simply stunning to stay in. The hotel property is equally stunning, and the restaurant was a true highlight. Breakfast was also wonderfully relaxing and delicious. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. We would happily return to Ferme de la Rançonnière if we have the chance."

"A beautifully maintained hotel with secure parking (great for motorbikes). The hotel is right in the middle of Bayeux and easy to find. There's no dinner restaurant at the hotel but there are many restaurants only a few minutes away. Inside was spotlessly clean and well set out. My room was gorgeous. Lots of home comforts and very large. The staff were great and breakfast was delicious. Can't find a fault."

"The Chateau was fantastic! We were a family of five and thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay. The place is beautiful and very peaceful! The employees are all very welcoming and attentive. The food is superb! The casual and elegant dinners were a real treat, as was daily breakfast. You will not be disappointed. I highly recommend Chateau d’ Audrieu if visiting Normandy! Mary Nadler"

"Gently fading grandeur. We had a lovely time and the pool/spa are very nice. Staff were friendly. Bar prices seem to reflect what this hotel used to be like, rather than its current state of maintenance as a few things weren't working eg room phones, spa shower. We didn't eat in the restaurant but it looked lovely."

"An okay no frills hotel. Airconditioning didn't work in 1 of 2 rooms and the single window didn't allow for airflow. Hinges on the bathroom door need grease so the door doesn't wake the entire room when opened. No locks on bathroom door which is a minor inconvenience. Had to slam exterior door shut to get it to latch which probably frustrated our neighbors. I had low expectations for breakfast from previous reviews but was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't amazing but was perfectly acceptable for fueling up before a trip to D Day sights."
