"I was a little worried when we pulled up to park at the front door as the weeds made it look a little messy. However, the inside was quite nice. Some other minor complaints could be the bad TV location in the living room, a slow drain that required cleaning in one of the showers (and slippery shower floors), and no clothes dryer. Otherwise we enjoyed the stay very much!"

"This quiet back-water close to the town of Makkum makes an ideal base for chilling out and communing with nature. For the bird-lover the area teems with wildfowl. We heard a Bittern. We used the spacious accommodation as a base for cycling and were not disappointed. The hosts were kind and considerate. Home-produce was available from this small-holding."

"I helped a friend book this for herself and her 5 daughters. For the daughters, it was their first time to The Netherlands and thats why i wanted them to stay in Enkhuizen. It is the most beautiful town! When they arrived in the house, rhey sent me a message and said - wow!!!! Tulpenhuis is the perfect place for a family or small group of friends. "Our Holiday in grou was wonderful. The house was really well equipped and big enoug for all of our family + our dogs. The garden is surrounded by fences and hedges. That gives you a lot of privacy and you don`t have to worry about the dogs. The garden is big enough for playing tabletennis and badminton, which we did a lot :-) Moreover there is a little ferry 5 minutes away, which brings you to the city center for shopping or visiting restaurants or doing some waterspouts. "Obwohl der Wettergott nicht so ganz auf unserer Seite war haben wir einen traumhaften Urlaub erlebt. Das Haus ist wunderschön eingerichtet und sehr gemütlich. Mein Lieblingsplatz war am Fenster mit Blick auf den Kanal und die vorbeifahrenden Schiffe . Auch von den Ausflüge in die Umgebung mit den kleinen gepflegten Orten haben wir sehr genossen. "The owner of this property must use google translator as most of the messages he sent me made no sense. This then made it difficult to understand the check in process. Thank goodness the kind lady at the registration office clarified things for me. I understood that towels/tea towels would be included with the linens, but there was an extra fee for these items. Just a note for mobility challenged guests, the stairs are very steep and narrow."

"Lovely location and clean property. Niggles were around the owner not responding to questions about what would already be there (there were filters for the coffee machine, now there are 2 boxes! There is a car charge point nearby but no idea if we could have accessed it). We also weren’t sure if we were allowed onto the jetty but presumed we were. But a nice quiet place to stay."

"Tolles und gut ausgestattetes Haus. Alles war wie in der Anzeige beschrieben. Die Lage ist für einen sehr ruhigen Urlaub optimal. Leider sind die nächsten Einkaufsmöglichkeiten selbst für nur ein paar Frühstücksbrötchen 8 KM in Lemmer entfernt. Bei schönen Wetter eine Runde mit dem Fahrrad bei schlechten Wetter ohne Auto nicht machbar. In Rutten selbst ist außer Ruhe nix. Wir sind aufgrund des Wetters viel Auto gefahren."
