Tickle Cove Boat House
10/10 Excellent
"The Tickle Cove Boathouse was a unique stop-over during our visit to Newfoundland. The property is well appointed with the basics and a few luxuries. Communication with Nicole (host) is great and they provide a good deal of information about the property and the area. The property is kept very clean and the amenities are appreciatedNote that this boathouse is COZY. There is hot water which is an on-demand system so you have to be patient. Definitely read through the instructions regarding the composting toilet. It is easier to understand once you are at the property and can view the device in person. The bed is quite comfy although, getting to the loft requires some self-confidence in ladder usage (it is safe, sturdy, and steep)! The view from the deck in the morning is awesome. This slightly out of the way property is a memory maker!"
"Beautiful spot in Elliston! The scenery was absolutely stunning — we could watch and even hear whales right from the deck, which was unforgettable. It’s also just a short walk to see the puffins, which was such a highlight.
The cottage had everything we needed and more, making our stay super comfortable. We especially loved the thoughtful touch of the homemade jam left for us — so kind and delicious!
Highly recommend this place for a relaxing Newfoundland getaway."
Adorable 2-bedroom guesthouse with an amazing view
10/10 Excellent
"Nothing but excellent. If you've traveled through the smaller hamlets of Newfoundland you'll know that every option for accommodation involves a very local feel and flavor. This darling little cottage made us feel incredibly at home and well provided for, plus the view of the glowing fog in the morning could not be beat. Nothing is fancy in Newfoundland- that's not why anyone comes here. But we felt so happy to be here and honestly wished we'd arrived earlier in the day so that we could have enjoyed it for longer. Highly recommend especially for longer stays as it is will equipped and so warm and inviting it was incredibly hard to leave!"

"Sheila was terrific! The property was lovely and clean. well, we did not use the washing machine or dryer, they were certainly available.
The water in Buena Vista and surrounding areas has a lot of iron in it, so the freshwater that was provided was greatly appreciated."
