Our group of adults and two little kids enjoyed our stay here very much. Chris was excellent at replying to questions, the cottage was clean and well-equipped, and the location was great (felt secluded but only 10 minutes from town). Our only complaint was the quality of the dock (itโs seen better days) but that didnโt stop us from having lots of fun swimming, canoeing and kayaking.
The cottage was super cute and very clean. Very comfortable stay for our large family. The property and amenities were excellent and the communications with the owner was prompt.Unfortunately however, we were unable to use the bbq as the burners did not work and the bottom was rotted out. Also, we were aware that the water was non potable, however the strong odour was very unpleasant and off putting.
Really nice cottage, tons of room. Super close to Burks Falls for grabbing groceries. Had a small issue with water, however Chris was there in minutes to fix the problem. Bring your fishing gear ๐๐๐
Property is as listed! Clean, quiet, great host communication, and the feeling of cottage is to die for. Our family of 10 enjoyed our vacation thoroughly. Our youngest family member turned 3 on this trip! With tubing, swimming and fishing, we couldn't have had a better time! Thank you and see you next year!!
It's a modern cottage but it's clean and the rooms are quite big. The river is just in front of the house so it's so convenient to go swimming and canoeing. We didn't have to go far to fish because there are fishes right where the cottage is. It was a fun overall experience. Chris, the owner was very nice and so accommodating.
Looking for a nice lovely quiet place to have respite. And close to family town to visit. I've always wanted to see what living by the river was like. So quiet. Pretty. Stars for the gazing. Loads of blankets and bed and dishes and all. Green. Clean. Serene. Host very kind and helpful.
The cottage is very cozy and quaint and we were impressed with the cleanliness and location. It's right on a river and is super peaceful and picturesque. The location is only a few minutes from Burk's Falls. I only deducted a star because the water in the entire cottage smelled so strongly of sulfur from the waterlines that we couldn't wash or shower. We definitely understand a smell from well water at a cottage but this was overwhelming. That being said the owner was extremely communicative and I would book here again.
Chris was very responsive to all communication. Nice and quiet cottage. Spacious and came with all the kitchen necessities as listed. However, having air conditioning and net on the balcony (because of the mosquitoes) would've made the place more enjoyable. Chris let us use his canoe and fire pit. It was an overall pleasant stay for us.
