"My sister, niece and I stayed here for one night in July. The hotel was comfortable and clean, and the front desk staff member who checked us in was very friendly. Also, we loved all the paintings by local artists that were displayed throughout the hotel."

"The Casco Bay Inn is currently undergoing some renovation, but this doesn't detract from accessibility or services. The staff is friendly and helpful. Across the street is a brew pub with a light fare menu. A bit further down Rt 1 is a great custard stand; approx. 1/8 mile. This location is modestly priced and conveniently located to Freeport. "

"Great place to relax and be central to several locations. Please be aware that this is not meant for handicapped. Too high of a step into the house and Too steep and slippery to get down to the lake. Also, did not matter to us but not a lot of privacy due to the owners house only feet away, blocking most of the view of the lake. With that being said, the house had a view of the lake from one side of the deck which was awesome to sit at in the evenings. It was perfect for our relaxing get away. Very clean and stocked with supplies. Thankfully we did bring our own lobster pot because that was about the only thing they didnt have. The hosts are awesome, very friendly folks who are there if needed but kept their distance for guest privacy. While there we saw a fox and an eagle. Heard only one loon but no moose in the area. We give it 5 stars , great house and great hosts!!!!"
