"Although the write up states the pool is 5 minutes drive away the photos indicate there is a pool on the premises. The photos show an empty pool but I would imagine it to be busy as it is in a sports centre. If you have children the times they can swim are very limited so we didn’t bother to use the pool. We hired a hot tub from the venue, they use Norfolk Spas and Leisure. The hot tub was filthy, I have photos. The delivery of the hot tub was made late because of a glitch with the Reply To Host...

"A short stay to explore the Norfolk coast. I loved the attention to detail and decor of the cottage. If you like historic buildings then this place is for you! The top floor room has an old beam across it and is a struggle to get into but the kids liked it so that was a win. The cottage is quite dark inside and just enough social space for two adults and two kids. The courtyard garden is lovely and a great sun trap. Thanks for having us. "

"An old characterful house in a lovely location. Comfortable lounge with lots of seating, well-appointed kitchen downstairs. Upstairs..spacious bedrooms and bathroom. Worked well for our family of grandparents, parents and siblings and two small children to attend a family wedding nearby. Clear instructions were left. It was ideal for us."

The kids loved the games room, swimming pool , we set up badminton and was other garden games too - we spent evenings playing bored games, so much quality time and phones / tablets hardly touched !! "The lodge was lovely, spacious and well provisioned. Views of the lake from the balcony were beautiful. We enjoyed local walks on the river Nar and in the local forestry commission as well as seal watching at Blakeney and exploring Kings Lynn. It was a fantastic location as we were guests at a wedding at Pentney Abbey only a 10 minute walk away . Highly recommend it. "

"The house is very big and very comfortable. It is ideally located to be able to visit the local area and wider Norfolk easily without any journey being too long. Having visited in December we didn't get to enjoy all of the facilities it has to offer but can imagine that in the summer months it must be fantastic to have use of the small garden & terrace. It was perfect for our needs travelling with teenagers and grandparents and we would definitely return."

"We absolutely loved our two weeks staying at Debbie’s cottage right next to the Bailey Gate in Castle Acre. Everything was perfect, from the ease of pre-stay communication to the very smooth check-in/out process. We stayed 4 adults and 2 children (3 and 8) and found the cottage to be an excellent choice for a family with children. "The house was beautiful but could of done with brighter lights in the house including the twin room.The doors seem to need shaving so they could close quieter and there was 1 door in the kitchen that needed to be adjusted as it made a noise.Cant really comment on other rooms."

"Property was exactly as pictured, beautiful location and spacious, would recommend this to anyone! Only downside is that it feels like it needs a tiny bit of maintenance. Multiple chairs and cupboards were broken, couple of toilets blocked, couple of showers and taps didn’t work. These are all minor things which I presume due to how amazing this place is and fully booked the owners don’t have an opportunity to fix these little things. Would still recommend!"

"My partner and myself stayed here for 2 nights. The pod it's self is tidy, clean, small kitchenette with microwave and toaster, also there is a breakfast hamper, the fridge is stocked with the basics. The pod opens out onto a beautifully kept Japanese garden with Koi pond. Ian and Caz are great hosts and are at the end of a text or call if there are any problems. There is also a hot tub available which just topped off this amazing little retreat. Myself and Darren will definately be coming back....
