"The lobby is a little misleading. The place looks so amazing from the outside and the lobby as well. The staff we encountered was very sweet but the rooms were incredibly dirty. The floors and the walls were honestly disgusting. I will upload photos if I could. The floors were carpet meant to look like hard wood and were insanely stained. "If you wish to stay in a traditional ryokan and still get the option to be near dining and shopping, I would highly recommend this place to everyone! It’s very close to popular shopping centres, great local restaurants, and the subway/bus stations. The family who run the ryokan are amazing and are so attentive to my needs. This place truly did make my Kyoto trip so special! I will definitely be coming back next time :)"
