En été le village est mort. J ai bien aimé l ouverture de l appartement avec l application téléphonique. Cela permet une souplesse pour l heure d arrivée. "The impression on the initial entry into the building is ok but each step further in the building got worse and worse. We were there to watch the Tour de France so the location was excellent for that, but everything else was AWFUL. No sheets available on the filthy beds, no bath towels just 2 disgusting kitchen towels that were stained so badly it was hard to tell if they had been cleaned. Keep looking elsewhere because this place is not good."

"The hotel is in a good location, walking distance to restaurants and stores. Parking is plentiful. The view from your hotel room is beautiful. The buildings are well maintained. You do need to bring supplies and you do need to clean the unit before you leave. The utility company was doing work on the water supply to the street which we were advised of but had no idea how long the water would be off for. It turned out it was only off for a short time so no real impact. A good experience overall."

"It was probably the nicest hotel in Amelie-les-bains, which has few operating hotels and not an especially beautiful small town in the Pyrenees. The town is full of retirees and supports elderly French people there to take the cure in the Roman baths. We appreciated the AC and the bike room at the Castel hotel. Most people stay for one night en route to another place. We stayed for 4 days using it as a base for a cycling holiday. The housekeeping is done only once a week in the rooms, and the guest laundry machines were broken so we couldn’t use them. Our studio room was small and in need of updating. There were holes in the wall that needed patching. The staff were kind and helpful. The breakfast was good. It was important to reserve for dinner since the restaurant was full every night with locals and guests bringing their dogs. They have a dog named obelisk and welcome all canines."
