"It took me awhile to find the hotel entrance as the sign is the same color of gray as the stone entrance. And, my roller bag made quite a racket bouncing over the cobblestones. Inside the courtyard I found a peaceful terrace and views of half-timbered houses, a lovely entry for sipping coffee or a beer. I had one of the cheapest rooms and it was perfect for one. Very comfortable bed, windows that opened, and a spotless bathroom. While relatively small, it was private and quiet. I made use of the gym every day for yoga and enjoyed reading my book under the shadow of Flaubert’s statue in the evenings. I ate one breakfast on site and it was adequate. I just have different eating habits. Overall, an excellent value."

"Stayed here for 2 nights as an emergency place to stay as I had mechanical problems on my bike. The staff were absolutely superb. The receptionist was delightful and very helpful making recommendations on where to visit and how to travel on the excellent, cheap and frequent bus service into town. Car park was very large and felt secure too. There is a big retail park next door which was very handy too. The bed was extremely comfortable and the pillows and bedding superb. A good hot shower and large towels were very much appreciated. Rouen is a spectacular town and 2 days was really insufficient to appreciate everything it has to offer. Would I stay here again ? Most definitely YES !"

"Great hotel for stop over for one night. Not clost to much on foot. The restaurant was not open, but we got something nearby. The hotel was very quiet. Really NICE staff. Easy to park and cheap for the night. Must drive to city centre or walk 30 minutes, so not in a touristy area. But easy to get to, into park and away in the morning. "

"I had a great one night stay here. The staff were very kind and helpful (my French is not fluent and they were very patient and helpful to communicate easily for check in). The location is very convenient if you’re arriving by train (can’t miss it coming out of the station). Very clean and room was well equipped and updated. A nice surprise that I wasn’t expecting was an electric kettle in the room. As an avid coffee drinker, being able to make instant coffee on my own was so nice. Overall an extremely pleasant stay that I would recommend highly! Only tiny drawback was the very small elevator - to be fair it was exactly as I expected for this type of building. But I preferred the stairs anyway as they were charming, blue carpeted circular stairs. "
