"We were a family of 5. The weather meant the pool was used everyday and was so valuable! Kitchen had everything we needed. The inside living spaces were a good size and the games room was enjoyed. Although with the hot weather nothing beats outside. Worth noting 2 of the bedrooms were across the house through the games room and dining room. This still left four rooms near each other if kids don't want to be far away but just a mention. All rooms were brilliant and spacious. We would stay again and could easily bring friends and still have space!"

"This 19th Century Grand House on a large estate in an area of great natural beauty, overlooking a lake, is a great location for a multi-generation family holiday. The property is one-of-a-kind retaining many original features, fittings and contents, with sympathetic renovation providing the things needed for modern living. Our family (11 in total) visited during exceptionally hot weather and made much use of the Pool and lake for swimming, canoeing and paddle boarding. Early morning lake fishing proved popular as did outdoor table tennis; being keen players we had transported our own bats although some are provided. There is a good selection of cycles of all sizes for those wishing to explore the local area. A fully-equipped kitchen and plancha are provided for cooking indoors or outside, and the supply and range of cookware is extensive. The property is quite quirky in its originality, but that adds to the experience and the feeling of being transported back to another era. We had a lovely holiday and enjoyed our first visit to the Loire-Atlantique Region very much. It was extremely easy to communicate with the Owners before and during our holiday and all questions and requests for information received fast and full replies."

"We had a great couple of nights at the hotel. The pod arrangement is unique and makes for a memorable stay. The staff are fantastic and a special mention to Maxim the cocktail mixologist. The spa facilities are excellent with the pool at the perfect temperature. The only slight negative points were, the rooms do not have air conditioning and we stayed during a heatwave. The buffet restaurant is not that great, I was expecting something better given that the other restaurant has a Michelin star."
