"We enjoyed a week in this delightful house - close to amenities, woods and sea. The house was well equiped, very clean and the hosts - M and Mme Lebeau - exceedingly charming. We did pick a bad week for weather, but found pleasure in the bracing beach walks and Noirmoutier's special iodine-rich sea air! "The house is very well placed for the beach (though not overlooking it), walks, the shop and Gustav's bar and restaurant (recommended). We were surprised to find the downstairs bedroom was not self-contained, so the other couple had to walk through to access the very steep stairs, the bathroom and the lavatory. The standard of equipment was high - sophisticated hob/oven, dishwasher and washing machine, but no dinner knives! Noirmoutier is glorious."

"This is the nicest short-term apartment we have ever stayed in. Really, it is the nicest and we have stayed in many nice places. It was simply and beautifully appointed including having a nicely equipped kitchen. There were several thoughtful touches - like the step under the bathroom counter to help a child reach the sink or the small bench by the door to remove and stow shoes. "Upon making reservations we received welcome & instructions in French, unfortunately we don’t read/speak French. Second email was in English but instructions were limited. Property mgmt did work with us in getting in/out in our timeline. A welcome bottle of wine, jams and orange juice were a nice touch. Upstairs shower leaked thru ceiling to downstairs bedroom…we alerted property mgmt and they tried to make repair. Hair dryer did not work. Proximity to beach was great."
