Owner didn’t care

We rented a house in order to have a yard. The yard was overgrown and the house looked abandoned. The management company asked the owner to come do the yard but the answer was négatif. The yard was only done at the beginning of the season. Unfortunately we rented the house in September. Part of the answer was also the natural aspect of the garden with the sand dune and weed. Sadly 3/4 of the yard have been graveled making the natural aspect of the yard very limited. Was the owner lazy? Wouldn’t rent that property again even at the beginning of the season.
