Memorial Day weekend
Our check in time was 3:30 and we did not get to check in till 7:00pm Sat night. When you are only at a rental for less than 48hrs it’s not a great situation to be 3 1/2 hours behind on the check in. Thankful we did not have dinner plans and need to get ready. We also got in and they did not have any towels for us for the weekend. Things happen out of peoples control( power outage for a little bit that morning) but how it was handled was very poor. The owner really didn’t seem to care about the inconvenience. We didn’t have an answer as to when we could get into the rental till 5:00. I had to repeatedly call and ask what was going on. When you are spending so much money for a weekend there needs to be ALOT more consideration for the mishap. And to the owners response that she was 2 hrs away and can’t do anything…. You could have handled it a lot better than you did and made us aware of the situation before we walked into an unclean house thinking we were checking in and you could have made it right by offering to compensate us for the trouble. This was our vacation and spent a lot of money to come for a short time. Things happen and its not the worst but you were very rude and dismissive and while it wasn’t your fault it was also not ours and we are the paying customers. I think overall this rental is a nice house and great location. The cleaning staff did a great job and work hard once they arrived. So as long nothing goes wrong it might be ok.
