"If you are looking for an experience, the Priory does not disappoint. The only room on the property for guests has ties to the Romans from the year 1070. The church itself is decommissioned, but continues to host concerts. Being from the United States, opportunities to be surrounded by such history do not exist. "We had a wonderful time at La Brionnière. The location is beautiful, lovely countryside away from it all. The gite is very well equipped and has everything you need, it was very homely.The highlight was the amazing pool which was big, very clean with plenty of sun loungers and seating and amazing views across the rolling fields beyond. Us incl. kids (4 and 6) loved it!Chris and Julie were so lovely, they made us feel at home and never tired of chatting to our very inquisitive 6 year old ;-)Puy du Fou is only half an hour drive away, we had an amazing time there as well. The various tree top climbing activities around the area were super fun too.We were very sad to leave at the end of our two week stay - the kids are already asking when we can go back.Merci beaucoup Chris & Julie et a bientôt!"

"This is a budget hotel that punches above its weight. The staff are welcoming, the rooms basic but clean, the location is not at all beautiful, but in a great location for those travelling on A roads and the restaurant attached to it is better than your average chain, the chef is good at what he does and the beer is rather lovely."
