"Great location for access to Saint Mathieu and the lake. Good sized bedrooms, plenty of decent crockery, etc. No frills but adequately met our needs. As we were only a couple we were paying a premium, better value for a family. Gardens surrounded the property with plenty of choice of seating, weather permitting."

"Gastheer vriendelijk, behulpzaam en betrokken. Erg prettig. Alles goed aanwezig voor ons behalve keukenbestek en pannen minimaal voor onze samenstelling. Zwembad super en werd goed schoon gehouden tijdens ons verblijf. Door de vele spullen en accessoires leek het lastig schoon te houden. Onbeperkt handdoeken en grote badlakens. Erg fijn dat er wasmachine en droger was met klein kind. Tuin en omgeving piekfijn in orde en sfeervol"

"Bon accueil et bon echange avec la proprietaire. Forte odeur d'humidité dans le salon. Piece impossible à utiliser. Logement atypique avec un certain charme. Salle de bain principale dans chambre sans aucune intimité. Douche posée dans un coin avec vue imprenable sur la route ! Tete de lit à coté du lavabo et au dessus des tuyaux d'évacuation .... Propreté du logement à revoir. Neanmoins le linge de toilettes et les draps sentent bon la lessive."

"Nice holiday home with everything we needed, Clean and tidy, with a cozy living room, The private pool was a great feature, although it could be a bit chilly in early May, Overall, a good spot for a family vacation"

"Lovely location and spacious living. Only downside is the number of steps especially between rooms. Not for anyone who has problems with stairs. Otherwise, a well equipped kitchen with good sized fridge & freezer. Our hostess even went out and bought some champagne flutes because I said I enjoyed sparkling wine."

"Dommage pour les mouches qui nous ont empêche de manger dehors. Notre hôte ne parle pas français ce qui n'a pas facilité les échanges. Sinon très bien !"

"This property should not be on vrbo site or advertised hosts were very pleasant on the phone as we were arriving late evening , very hard to find the property no number on the gate description is totally wrong near park and shops it was more like on an industrial site , eventually got into the property and was very very disappointed cleanliness was awful there was no lounge to sit and relax just two bedrooms , the bedding was appalling and was certainly not up to standard then to top it all...

"The photographs of this property on the website do NOT do it justice - the house, the grounds, the facilities (especially the pool), its proximity to the Charente and excellent shops in Ruffec make it a perfect location for a family holiday. Although Mr Guyard was not present, he answered all of my queries promptly via email."
