"We had a wonderful week in the gite. The property was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. We were looking for a relaxing week away to unwind and could not have picked a better place. The weather was warm enough for us to use the pool a few times which was clean and welcoming. We used the garden/patio area everyday which was also clean, tidy and comfortable. We will definitely look to stay here again."

"Stopped here passing through from Spain to Calais. Room was a good size with adequate heating, and dog friendly. Very idyllic and typically French. On site restaurant was good French cuisine but expensive. Not sure there is anything else nearby. , but we enjoyed it and would definitely stop off here again."

"Beautiful cottage with everything you need. Use of grounds and pool. Very friendly, helpful, hosts gave lots of advice on things to do and places to visit and nothing was too much trouble. Enclosed garden to the cottage so our dog could be let off lead. Peaceful location, we had a great stay, thank you Jill and Phil."

"Lovely stuff"

"Lovely place. Loads of space for us 4 families to spread out across the 2 separate houses. (Handy to put the teens in the end one on their own). Weather was very hot so we really appreciated the pool, the shade of the walnut tree and the Bluetooth speakers. A couple of extra parasols would have been great, but we managed fine. Bedrooms were very hot at night, even with the fans going, but it was an unusually hot week (32-38 C). Weather conditions also meant a lot of flies, which were a bit annoying. But we honed our swotting skills 😜. We’d been a bit worried we might get noise from the autoroute, given how close it is, but we could barely hear it, and most days not at all. Very peaceful - and at night we only heard owls while enjoying some amazing stargazing from the lawn. We love to cook so the BBQ was great & the big outdoor tables & chairs were perfect, so 15 of us could all eat together. Lots of kitchen space to prepare food, & loads of plates, glasses, etc. (A couple of larger serving platters/bowls & some large serving spoons & sharper knives would have made it perfect, but it was otherwise really well equipped with everything you could need). We didn’t really do a lot of exploring - mostly relaxing poolside, but recommend the village nature walk, the Saturday am market at Saint Jean D’Angely (fab fresh produce!) and a trip to La Rochelle (thanks to owner Paul for recommending Tonton Ma Boule for yummy artisan ice cream). Lovely stay!"
