"This is a wonderful gem! The old character was just what I hoped for and more! The grounds were relaxing, especially the orchard. The history book in the room was fun to read. Home cooked breakfast was top notch and the hosts were extremely kind and helpful. We felt welcomed and at home, I’ll definitely be back if I’m in Bayeux again!"

Yes the rooms could do with upgrading but for what you pay for a night and an ease of access to the port no complaints from us. We had a family quadruple room, good size but really warm room, no air con small windows but lots of road noise when open"

"When we arrived the owner greeted us and showed us to a lovely room we had booked, we only stayed the one night en route to our holiday destination and found the room clean and very comfortable . we were given lots of local information to find a bistro in the local town of Aunay sur Odon. The breakfast was well received and presented in a pleasant manner by Thom who was charming . we will have to come again next year and well worth a visit especially for a qiuck over night and as in our case...

"The setting was beautiful, and the room was very clean. The grounds were very well kept. Gabrielle was extremely helpful. The breakfast offering was more than adequate with lots of choice. The only real downside from my point of view was the limited menu available in the evenings, however the food they did provide was excellent quality. I would happily book again."

"We stayed in a lot of places in Paris and Normandy. This one was my absolute favorite. We drove from Paris and arrived at dusk. Seeing the Chateau revealed through the hedges in the evening light was magical. We explored the grounds a little later and spotted a fox hunting in a pasture. It was so calm and peaceful. Our room was so spacious and I took the most relaxing bath after a full day of walking on a D-Day tour. The bed was incredibly comfortable and breakfast in the morning was delicious....
