Hotel Royal
10/10 Excellent
"The property was close to the train station which was the only reason we planned on passing through Geneva. Penelope and Nana at the front desk were so helpful and they encouraged this exhausted traveler to give their city a chance. They talked me into going down for the light show on the lake front and I am glad I did. It started me on road to recover from a bad river cruise experience. They also had convinced me to take a tour of the city which I did and learned many things about city. They love their city and want others to experience what it offers. Not to mention how well they took care of checking us in."

"Our room was good for four people with the exception that the upper floor was quite hot and the air conditioning was capped so that it would not go below 21 degrees C. So even though they advertised air conditioning the room never went below room temperature on the lower floor while the upper floor remained a few degrees warmer. The staff did provide a fan which helped. The metal stairs going to the upper floor were also in an odd location causing my partner to injure his head on them while attempting to make coffee. It seems the layout of the room could have been better. Also, they only provided two coffee pods for four people for the in room coffee maker which seemed a bit stingy. They do provide a water station outside the rooms with water bottles that can be filled which was a nice perk. The bakery downstairs was incredibly convenient to grab a bite for lunch and breakfast and also for morning coffee and drinks. The prices were good at the bakery."

"Very clean hotel, excellent appointments. Bed was comfortable and bathroom spa-like. There was plenty of room to store belongings. Hotel was very secure and close to stores. The only negative I experienced was the bed-side lamps were not working and I reported it to the front desk. It did not negatively impact my stay."

"Room was clean, staff friendly and great to have a shuttle bus to/from the airport. It would have been helpful if the air con was a bit cooler during the night."
