"The house is little but all you need is there. You can walk to the center of Houlgate what is a nice place to visit. We will book it once again."

"Good sized gite in beautiful grounds with easy access to the heated swimming pool, hot tub and fishing lake. Hosts, Pat and Tony, were very welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and available, if needed. As a group of family and friends, we had a great week with something for everyone."

"We really enjoyed our time @ this tiny home: it was cozy and very well decorated! You really feel like you're the only one in the world with all the space around you. The garden and surroundings are amazing and very spacious. The fact that the house has no electricity was a little bit of a surprise (found that out via another posting), but there is a battery available and we made it work! All in all: we enjoyed our time there a lot!"

In the heatwave we managed to keep cool enough by arranging air to come in through open windows, but keeping shutters almost closed. There is no air con and there are no electric fans.The bedrooms are big enough and the beds comfortable. There is plenty of space to park. There is plenty of dining space inside and out. "We had a great stay in this house, Le Moulin. What a nice home. It's well equipped, cosy and nicely decorated. The garden is beautiful and peaceful. The view is fabulous. The kids loved the ping pong table as well. The owners are so friendly and helpful. We love the house and we love Normandy. We definitely want to come back!"

"Nous avons passés noël dans cette maison cheminée qui ne fonctionne pas un fond d’allumé feu de l’humidité dans les chambres du bas de la nourriture qui reste dans le frigo vaisselle sale et des serviettes déjà utilisées et les brosses à dent des autres personnes nous avons eut très froid et forte odeur d’humidité .Cela ne reflète pas l’annonce"

1 night stay in Ibis Styles, Caen

"Booked this place as a backup, just in case I couldn't make it to the ferry in time. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help bridge the language barrier. (I don't know much French, they didn't know much English). Once everything was understood, my friend and I took the keys are were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the rooms. Coffee making facilities, air conditioning and a king size bed. There are a number of eateries and even a cinema just around the corner from the hotel and it's only a couple of minutes walk from the train station. For a last minute stay, there was nothing more I could have asked for. "
