"The property was excellent and in a good location on the outskirts of Jarnac next to the river and a picnic area. It was a 20 minute walk into Jarnac along the riverside path. The property was in an excellent position to access the Flow Vélo with our bikes. The layout was all open plan and the French doors opened onto a covered seating area. The facilities were very good although the fridge only had a very small freezer compartment. It could maybe do with an information leaflet for the property...

"We had a wonderful stay in Montignac-Charente. The apartment is a short walk to the town center and we enjoyed stopping in at the patisserie and the cafe. A full grocery store is a short drive away. Our dogs also loved long walks along the country roads beside fields filled with sunflowers. Our host met us when we arrived, kindly showed us how everything worked, and even gifted us some apple preserves that tasted fabulous on our morning croissants. "Lovely quiet hotel located by a magnificent church in central Angoulême making this a unique setting. We were using the hotel at the end of a 2 week holiday heading to Limoges airport in the morning. It was perfect. We had the family room which had lots of stairs to get to which was fine for us but might put some off. Room worked well and lovely views. The pool was great and we had a couple of beers sat by the pool served from the on-site bar. In the evening we walked into the main town (5-10 mins walk) which was lovely, quite busy and had a few decent looking bars and restaurants - we ate in Lion Rouge which was an Italian restaurant, we sat in the square, food and service great and would recommend. Overall would thoroughly recommend this hotel."
