"Great property and great owner. Can't say enough good things about this house although to call it a farmhouse doesn't give the right impression about how modern and up-to-date the house is. All the "mod cons", and the plumbing and wifi worked. (seriously, that has not been our experience in other places in France). Modern kitchen. Pool was super and well maintained. The youngsters loved the playhouse. And the owner was terrific. Couldn't be more helpful and pleasant. We enjoyed the rural setting but McDonalds, supermarkets, and pizza were only 10 minutes away. Best of both worlds. Would definitely stay there again."

"Stunning property, excellent location for exploring Southern Charente and the Northern Dordogne areas. Well equipped, clean with a beautiful pool. Sallyanne and Peter on hand for any assistance and for excellent tips for places to visit or for really good eateries. Definitely recommend - look no further!"

"A lovely break - the house was pretty much as described.The pool is great - the outside eating space is fantastic and there are 3 big fridges to keep everything cold. The living accommodation is great and it really is a lovely house. Tennis court is in good nick - but bring your own racquets and balls as the stuff there is not great.Thierry - who sorts out any issues was great and really responsive. A few small negatives - the oven is pretty useless and I see that previous reviews have mentioned this - a low cost solution that would make things easier for guests. Secondly - there are no restaurants within walking distance as in the description - but some good ones a short drive away. Finally - you have to pay to use the bikes in the photos - 20 euros a bike - just so you are aware these are not included. "

"A beautiful and well appointed cottage surrounded by unspoilt countryside. Perfect for nature lovers and those who wish to have a break from hectic city life. The cottage is tastefully furnished and had all the facilities we needed for our 16-night stay, including washing machine, ironing board and a good assortment of kitchen utensils. Alain and Martine, the owners, who occupy the adjacent house, were delightful and Alain gave us many useful tips on what to see in the area and to best restaurants to choose for a memorable lunch or dinner.
