"A beautiful house in a beautiful quiet location. The area is beautiful. We enjoyed it simply because of the peace and quite, surprisingly the lack of traffic and over crowding. Enjoyed visiting some of the artesian Cognac producers which was facinating. There were many great resturants in and around Cognac which also added to the experiance. Well worth a visit. We appreciated the property, which was spacious and more than adequate. Due to the weather we spent most of the time outdoors enjoying the sunny days and long evenings. The pool turned out to be a huge bonus. A very good stay, lovely property and surroundings, if you need a change and some tranquility. "

"Super interesting place to stay. New bathrooms. Very clean. Nice staff. Decent breakfast. Rooms have very basic amenities - not surprising given the place’s origin, but there isn’t even any soap in the bathrooms - no way to wash your hands except to use the mystery bottle of body wash (?) in the shower. The place isn’t expensive, so basic is fine, but maybe a few more amenities (like some soap, tissue, an extra towel or two) would be nice?"

"Beautiful little property in the quiet village of Préguillac. Not far to the coast and an hour drive from La Rochelle and Bordeaux with lots of beautiful Vineyards to visit in between, and a 10 minute drive to Saintes with lots of restaurants and bars, as well as good shopping. Brilliant and welcoming hosts with cute dogs, will miss breakfast and coffee by the pool in the mornings."
