"The place is hidden in Perigord, between the rivers Lot and Dordogne--which in summer is perfect to go swimming, canoeing, hiking in the area. There are culinary gems in Goujounac or Villefranche-du-Périgord--if you ask the locals. Be advised, though, that you need to travel considerable distances to get to places of interest. The place itself is kept in good condition, except for maybe a musty smell and an assorted mix of silverware and tableware, which seemed a bit thrown together."

"The property is lovely. It had everything you could possibly want including games , books, bbq along with, every conceivable kitchen utensil. The owners provided very detailed instructions as to how to get there,how to get in, how to operate the appliances. It was brilliant. The property is in a gorgeous little village just a few metres along the road. We were also able to use the local campsite facilities too which was lovely."

"We stayed with a big group attending a horse race locally. The hosts were very welcoming and the house was perfect for our big group. Sadly we didntt have enough time to enjoy the pool, views and outdoor table!"

"Ambiance familiale dans ce petit village de vacances situé à l'écart du village de Salviac où se trouve un petit supermarché, et à une petite 1/2 heure de la vallée très touristique de la Dordogne ( principaux châteaux, balades en canoë, etc ). Notre logement était petit mais fonctionnel et comportait tout l'équipement nécessaire. L'intimité de chacun est assurée par un espace conséquent et par des haies judicieusement disposées. Les enfants de 9 et 12 ans qui étaient avec nous n'avaient qu'une...

"We stayed at Le Petit Soyc in August 2023. This is a fantastic villa. Accommodation is very comfortable. Plenty of room for 8 of us with room to spare. The layout is superb. The kitchen is big, modern and well equipped. The outdoor dining area is really good. The swimming pool, pool house and shade is also spot on. We had a fantastic stay. Temperature was over 40 degrees! Local area is peaceful and beautiful. I would definitely recommend 100%. Property owner is as fantastic as the villa!"

"Slept so well in this quiet retreat in older part of town. On warmer days feel like sitting outside with the large sliding door open. Apartment appointed with anything you might need. Nearby pharmacy, bank, Casino and cafe and brasserie and restaurants within 1 km walk. Good takeaway kebab just steps out the door. Lovely market and easy town to use as base for visiting Lot and Cele area with many medieval towns, Peche Merle, etc. Would stay afain anytime back in this area."

"Lovely warm welcome from owner on arrival. Beautiful pool, garden and bbq area. Plenty of space and we’ll looked after. The Gite was perfect for a few nights stay. Kitchen was well equipped and bedrooms comfortable. Would recommend."

"What a spectacular hotel and hands-down the most impressive BEST WESTERN we've ever stayed at. The view of the Pont Valentré bridge was a nice addition as well. Cahors turned out to be one of the most magical places we visited on our trip to France and this hotel made it even more special. Straight out of a fairytale... Can't wait to return to this wonderful town and will definitely stay in this hotel."
