But the options in Saint Emilion are great and it's a beautiful old city. Labourne is a more modern city and is wonderful on Market day. The hotel itself is wonderful and comfortable..."

"Beautiful hotel. Really a piece of art in the middle of Saint Emilion. Only complain, not a place to exercise if needed. Very tiny room with 2 machines. Beside that, device, food, etc fantastic. "

"Situated in a quiet area, just 5 mins walk to centre. Staff very friendly and helpful. Safe private parking behind hotel. Didnt use it myself, but you can relax by the pool to enjoy the sunshine."

"Excellent location—easy to walk everywhere. The breakfast was delicious, and the room was clean with great air conditioning and a charming view. I’d definitely stay here again. The staff was so helpful even with my terrible French and their amazing English. Thank you for a great stay next time we will come for longer. Two nights was not enough."

"A lovely break - the house was pretty much as described.The pool is great - the outside eating space is fantastic and there are 3 big fridges to keep everything cold. The living accommodation is great and it really is a lovely house. Tennis court is in good nick - but bring your own racquets and balls as the stuff there is not great.Thierry - who sorts out any issues was great and really responsive. A few small negatives - the oven is pretty useless and I see that previous reviews have mentioned this - a low cost solution that would make things easier for guests. Secondly - there are no restaurants within walking distance as in the description - but some good ones a short drive away. Finally - you have to pay to use the bikes in the photos - 20 euros a bike - just so you are aware these are not included. "

"Booked and paid in JANUARY. Arrived 16:00 (check-in allegedly from 14:00). Place was locked; could not make anyone hear us. Waited 30 minutes before finding another hotel. Had also booked dinner but the sign outside said the restaurant was closed on Tuesday (the day of our stay). Contacted hotels.com to request full refund - this was apparently refused by the hotel (though hotels.com personnel said they couldn’t really communicate with hotel very well as the staff there only spoke French. Er… it’s a French hotel!!!). Eventually given £25 in award points - well under half what we had paid five months earlier! VERY unhappy with the whole situation!"
