"Place could be a bit more clean
Some people do not clean after themselves
The 4 bedroom dorm is small and the beds a bit noisy but what a wonderful spot!
On the beach with a great swimming pool.
I also met very cool people even if you need to socialize yourself.

"With a short walk to either beach or shared swimming pool there aren’t much else you’d want in a resting place like koh Lanta to ask for. There was although problems with locking the bathrooms. The hostel is close to food and stores but there’s not the best roads for a long walk to different parts of the island. All in all a good experience."
"Nice hostel. Clean beds, showers and toilets. Staff is really nice and helpful. Good AC. Small communal area. Negatives are low water pressure and it's on the main Street and not the beach."
"Très bon accueil du personnel, bungalow calme, grand et propre. Chemin qui mène à la plage en 5 min à pied à travers une petite forêt. À recommander "
"Let me start by saying the staff at the reception desk was wonderful. That said, they were the only positives to this place. Great location on the water, however, you have to cross the sandy beach to get there. NOT comfortable if you have luggage as it is extremely hot, even during the cooler weather season. It doesn't help that there isn't a sign identifying it as a Nomads hostel either. There is a sign in Thai and it mentions something else in English, but not the name you reserved .The...

"We had the best stay at Layana Resort,it is so peaceful, tranquil the staff go over and beyond expectations, would certainly recommend this resort,Franck the resort manager could not do enough to ensure your stay is amazing. "
"We really enjoyed our time in Koh Lanta, and the Long Beach Chalet was incredible. While we did leave the resort for some activities, you could easily stay here and have everything you need. Amazing breakfast, massage services, pools, and location on the beach. Lym’s restaurant was very good and reasonably priced. We really loved our stay here!"
"We stayed at Avani+ Koh Lanta for 3 nights in a pool villa and overall had a wonderful time. The resort is beautiful, peaceful, and perfect for unwinding. Our private pool villa was clean, spacious, and very comfortable — just what we needed for a relaxing getaway.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful. A special mention to the buggy service, which was super quick every time we called — rarely had to wait more than a couple of minutes.
The pool bar was great, and the happy hour from 5–6 PM was a nice touch. That said, when it gets busy, it can be a little hard to get your drinks in time before happy hour ends. We also found the pool bar closed quite early in the evening — not sure if that’s just during low season or standard for the resort.
Food at the resort was good, though a bit on the expensive side — which is expected for a resort. In our opinion, the menu could benefit from a bit more variety, especially since there’s only one restaurant and the location is quite secluded from other dining options.
Despite these small points, we really enjoyed our time here. The peaceful setting, friendly service, and overall vibe made it a memorable stay. We’d happily come back again!

"This hotel was really good. It’s scenic, offers many amentities, but is wuite far from town (we walked 20-30min to and fro each time).
My review will primarily be about the hotel’s service though.
In the first room I stayed, the AC didn’t work. We think it started working but broke some time while sleeping. My friend and I were miserable and woke up in the middle of the night.
We brought our concerns to the hotel staff and they gave us a bigger and better room that also came with free breakfast.
I have no regrets staying at Viking Heritage Hotel"
"My boyfriend and I stayed in this resort for 4 nights and we wish we could have stayed longer! The staff were very friendly, Sakai was so sweet to us, and took us out snorkling and we met another couple because of him. The resort is right on the beach and after going to the main town I have to say that the beachfront at this resort is the nicest that I saw on the island. The sunsets were incredible, the water warm, and no trash. There were beach chairs to use, an outdoor resturant right in the sand (with covered seats as well). The drinks were very reasonably priced and yummy! Evey dish we had was amazing especially the spring rolls. You have to understand that this resort is on a part of the island mostly acessable by boat. My boyfriend found a trail to walk into town (about 25 minute walk), so we used that most days. I didn't mind this at all because we still could get to town by this trail or boat if we wanted, but because it was away from the main town it was very relaxing, no noise, and clean!! The property needed maybe a little maintenince, but with the humidity and sea air, a little paint peeling didn't bother us at all. The AC was very nice in the rooms and this place had everything we wanted. The massage place and beach equipment rental shack was also nice and convieneint. They had shuttles as well since the property is very hilly, but we walked most of the time. If we come back to Phi Phi, we will definately stay here!! "
By staying at a hostel you can spend less on lodging and use more of your money for going out during your stay. You can enjoy activities like shopping, and the beaches create an appealing natural setting.
